Can You Create A Netflix Account If You Are Under 18 But Have A Debit Card

How can I get a free account on Netflix?

there are none, netflix is subscription-based

How do you share an account on Netflix?

You create an account, then you add your credit/debit card in the account. For the 4 user pack, you will get to name the 4 users. You have to give the individual users the password and email you created the account with. They will all access it using the same credentials. But their accounts and its data will be separate and wont interfere with the other user accounts at all.

If I use some else’s debit card to try out Netflix for a month and I cancel before it ends, will the cardholder know I used the card?

It’s been many years since I first signed up with Netflix, but I believe they will ask for some form of payment at the beginning of the trial. This prevents people from gaming the system and trying to get Netflix free forever. Putting your money where your mouth is tells Netflix that you are a serious potential customer and not someone who is playing games with them.Assuming I am correct, the cardholder will undoubtedly know his/her debit card has been used without their authorization. I’m no attorney, but would imagine that would fall under the umbrella of fraud. I would recommend not taking that word lightly and research what the repercussions are in your country/state.How does Netflix charge my account? What's an authorization?Authorizations are requests sent by Netflix to your financial institution to verify that your payment method works. These requests are not charges, but in some cases they may affect your available account balance. Why does an authorization affect my available balance?Netflix submits an authorization for a certain dollar amount, which can vary by region or by financial institution. This dollar amount temporarily affects your available balance, because your financial institution is checking to see if you have those funds available.Netflix does not actually collect this authorization amount, and the authorization will automatically drop off your account after a certain time. Check with your financial institution for details on how long it takes for them to release the funds.source: How does Netflix charge my account?I would imagine the cardholder will see a transaction for a minimum amount, say $.01 with the notation Netflix attached. It will eventually be reversed, but a record of the transaction will be visible to the cardholder. They’re just testing to see if the account is valid. If you want a nickel’s worth of free advice, do not use other people’s debit or credit cards for any reason without their explicit authorization, if you wish to stay out of hot water.See also > 18 U.S. Code § 1343 - Fraud by wire, radio, or television

Creating a Netflix account under the age of 18 but I have a debit/credit card?

I was wondering if I would get into any serious trouble creating a Netflix account by myself under the age of 18. I have a debit/credit card because I am under my dad's account. If I lied that I was over the age of 18 would Netflix find out?

Can you cancel a Netflix account after the free trial? How?

Can you cancel a Netflix account after the free trial is over?Yes, but you're thinking about this wrong if you're thinking what I think you're thinking.Netflix will charge you in advance of your subscription.Somewhere in the fine print which I am too lazy to look up for you, you have agreed to this when the trial began. This means that the minute your free trial comes to an end, the paid subscription begins. They do this to provide you seamless, uninterrupted service. As such, you will be charged upon the commencement of your paid subscription. Thus, if you cancel Netflix "AFTER" the free trial, you're already too late, as the irreversable charge would already have taken place. If you want to cancel your Netflix account and not get charged, it is critical that you cancel it "BEFORE" the free trial ends, not "AFTER."There is a big difference in the timing, if you want to create a desired effect.I hope this helps avoid some disappointment and unwanted charges.

Is it required/mandatory to be 18 or over in order to start a Netflix account?

Can I use my VISA debit card for signing up for Netflix?

Yes you can.Netflix accepts Visa Debit cards. Debit cards function just like credit cards, except you have the funds in your account to back it up. This is in New Zealand.Im not sure how Visa Debit functions in other countries. It will probably be the same because it is nothing more than an electronic transaction.Incidentally, my own Netflix account is backed by a Visa Debit . If I dont want it I can cancel it at any time. There is no other cost incurred.Recently Netflix has upgraded to downloading the stuff you want to watch. In one way this is actually better than live streaming. There are some new serials just advertised. I hope you will enjoy them.Besides Netflix there are several new live streaming companies now online and just starting to be given away for free. The other one I use is Lightbox.Good luck and enjoy your New Years.
