Cant Get Laptop To Work Due To The Constant

My laptop will not work with the internet. Constant proxy error.?

I don't know what happened, but I use Google Chrome, and it started giving me a proxy error. I have already tried going into my internet settings and unchecking the "allow proxy" box, but every time I do, it rechecks itself instantly. I can't use Chrome or Internet Explorer at all, but somehow I'm able to use Mozilla Firefox. I didn't think it was going to that much of a problem until I realized it was affecting my downloads outside my browser, I can't download anything from Steam either, including game updates. I have ran scans, and found nothing, I have uninstalled things I recently installed, I have reset my Internet Explorer settings, I don't know what to do, please help.

What will happen if I constantly charge a fully charged laptop?

Every battery has a charging lifecycle,in which it works to its maximum capacity.Let's suppose, your laptop battery has a lifecycle of 5000.It means it can be charged 5000 times. If u keep charging a charged laptop. It will be like,it will b discharged 1-2% and then charged. The charging time-constant is greater than the discharging time-constant.Hence continuous charging discharging process will take place, and your lifecycle will approach soon. And your battery will stop working to its full efficiency. At a later period of time,ur laptop will convert to a desktop,i.e it will work only if u plugin the charger.

I can't reduce my laptop's screen brightness. The buttons just aren't working. How can I solve this problem?

I had the same problem…and i solved it… :)just follow the below steps and it is applicable for all windows(win 7,8,8.1,10)goto search window and search for “device manager”2. open device manager3. right click on intel(R) HD Graphics 55004. A window will appear as shown below and click on “Let me pick from a list pf device drivers on my computer”5. opt for intel(R) HD graphics and give next, then close all windows and give restart.6. if u don’t have two option, don’t worry go for “microsoft basic display adapter” and give next, then close all windows and give restart. Now you may not be able to increase or decrease brightness!! don’t worry!!7. then repeat from step 1 and now you will get two option like in step 5 and now you do step 5, close all windows and restart the computer.-Poorna :)

Why is cpu fan on Lenovo G450 laptop not working in Windows but does in Ubuntu?

I've done a windows reinstall because of the fan not working which I presume is causing the cpu to overheat and causing constant system freeze ups. The weird thing is that I installed Ubuntu alongside windows and it starts up fine and the fan is running but then it does stop but starts up again but no freezes and I can surf the internet, watch youtube, and work on docs in ubuntu without any freeze ups. Any idea? I think its the cpu fan that needs to be replaced. Another thing I noticed was that I tried updating the bios within windows but due to the freeze ups it wont let me.

Ways to reset entire ASUS X555l laptop?

Is there any way to reset my ASUS x555l laptop that doesn't require me to get into windows and factory reset from there? I am stuck in the ASUS aptio setup utility screen in a constant loop and I have tried many things to get out of it and into windows but nothing seems to work. Getting my laptop repaired by ASUS is said to take 3-4 weeks and that is time I do not have, being just a couple months off finishing school. I am able to screw the bottom of the laptop and open it up and access all the parts, is there possibly a button/switch inside that I can press to reset everything? Or is it possibly a hardware/ hdd problem that is preventing me from getting past this screen?

My Laptop tends to overheat ? How to fix ?

My laptop tends to overheat whenever i launch large Programs Such as Eden eternal , Final Fantasy 14 , and Sims 3 series . I have a theory why it does this . I believe its due to my constant game play .
But of course i can't help it since I have an online job and do graphic 3D gaming design as a hobby .
So of course it cant be helped . I usually get off of it and go outside for some fresh air and occasionally a bite to eat ( since all i eat is fruits anyways .. ) . Well this has been upsetting a bit here recently . I had a windows 7 that did the exact same thing but a bit different . The difference , Unlike my windows 8 , My windows 7 tends to overheat from generally being used . Rather it was internet surfing or listening to a song , It overheated at an extremely alarming and disturbing rate , 10 minutes tops and it was hot as a preheated stove , I usually had to shut it down . I despised my win 7 after a while , Mainly because i had it on my lap so i had 1st and 2nd degree burns . Why on my lap ? No surface and i'm not allowed downstairs . Eventually in finally crashed ( Again for at least the 17th time ) . So thats when i began to use my win 8 . Anyways , How to i prevent my laptop from heating up like that ? Its a lose , lose situation . its not anywhere near as bad as my win 7 , Infact sometimes it will cool itself down but then it will heat right back up again -_- . I don't want it to do like my win 7 , How do i stop history from repeating itself ?

My Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop is running slow, and Ihave been unable to even come to a conclusio as to why this?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1721 Laptop that I got around two years ago. It was always a good laptop. Reliable, and most importantly, fast. But recently it has been so slow loading the internet, and Facebook Applications such as Farmville. Other strange things include constant not responding whenever I click on a page, and a slow delay after I start typing on the keyboard.

I have taken it to two different computer stores, one replaced my hard drive completely, but it didn't work! So I took it to another local place. They took out everything as well and put windows 7 in. Guess what! It still doesn't work right.

As you may have guessed, I am very frustrated with this situation and I am ready to give up. So, here comes my question:

Does anyone have a solution, or ideas to get my computer to go fast again!

ALSO:
Other than the fact that it loads slow, my laptop is in great condition. Absolutely NO scratches, nothing. I also do a great job keeping it from overheating.

Will someone PLEASE help me?
