How do I sign into Google using my Yahoo account?
I tried the link above to set up a google acc nt / log into a google acc nt via my yahoo account and there were no options allowing it...it just kept taking me to the standard page to set up a google account that then wanted phonecall or text verification (despite somewhere, somehow having an option to verify via email which is what I require!) Anyone have any clear, simple steps and links to help get me set up (if not I m going to write off Google totally and not even consider using them even as a browser)

How come you can't sign into your old Youtube account without using a "google account"?
I go to log onto my Youtube account (which i have had for almost 5-6 years i believe) and it it tells me this - "Please use your Google Account (jeni.almond@gmail.com) password to sign in. We no longer support signing in with your old YouTube password." I sign in with my "google account" info and that's defiantly NOT my old youtube cause none of my videos are on it. So what's going on? How can i access my old Youtube account with my OLD information?

However, if you used Google Chrome's sign-in/auto-sync features your bookmarks and browsing data would be stored in the cloud. I recommend you do this for the future if you haven't already. Otherwise you could attempt to install another browser like Firefox and during the installation "import bookmarks from chrome", if possible. Then reinstall chrome and "re-import" everything back to chrome. Or you'd have to find a way to repair the missing chrome files. But this is the most difficult method of repairing.

Youtube have been asking for a while to link accounts which I've been ignoring... till tonight when it wouldn't let me log in. Seems like now it's compulsory and no way round it. EDIT: Don't use a little used account that's so little used that you have forgotten the password to it and so little used that yahoo may well have deleted it, but youtube still have it as an email address that you started the account with... like I just have! Ok so now when you log into youtube you can use your google account or youtube. I decided to get a Gmail and made it the same as my youtube account. Now when ever i try to log into just YouTube, it thinks im logging into google and says "Please use your full Google Account email address to sign in." but i dont want to sigh into my Gmail to make and account, i want to sign into regualr youtube account. its so frustrating!
