Chances Of Me Getting Into Ucla Or Ucsd

What are my chances of getting into UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and UCD?

Well, your grades and educational side is fairly strong, but your extracurricular activites is not. Millions of seniors have that kind of extracurricular activities. But anyways, you sure do have a chance for each university. And here is how I rank them in order of chance in getting in:

1. UCI
2.UCD
3.UCSD
4.UCLA

(trust me. my brother who had a higher GPA and SAT score and more extracurricular stuff than you got put into the waiting list last year for UCLA and barely made it in.) anyways, good luck.

Chances getting into ucla or ucsd?

Incoming senior

weighted gpa 4.5 ish
unweighted 3.9 ish

I got A's every class except 1 B in AP Calc ab first smester

I only took 3 ap classes so far (ap world history, ap calc ab, ap lang and comp) the rest were honors (L.A,bio, chem, physics) and electives (up to spanish 3 and yearbook since sophomore yr).

My Sat scores pretty low- 1570
My Act is ok- 25

Tennis 3 yrs, varsity for 1 of those yrs

Key Club officer (publicist last yr, historian this yr)
Its a community service club so I have about 45+ hours of community service

Filipino club officer last yr and this upcoming yr

Was treasurer for Christian club the last yr

It's my SAT score im worried about. I can just send my ACT score right? I feel I can actually raise that score and not really my SAT score.

Sooo how high are my chances?

What are my chances of getting into UCLA or UCSD?

This sounds like one of my acquaintances from school - I go to one of the two schools you mentioned.Tldr it comes down to the area you are from and your ethnicity. Like you, my friend had an even higher GPA and even lower SAT (4.7, ~1500/2400) and got into engineering. However, he was an “under-represented minority” from not-so-well off family and he got absolutely destroyed by the math and physics classes here before he dropped the major for something “softer”.In other words, if you are an “under represented minority” you are almost guaranteed admission. Otherwise, your chances are incredibly low.Soo much for affirmative action being illegal in California…

Do I have a chance of getting into UCB/UCLA/UCSD for EECS/CSE in-state with a 3.5 unweighted GPA (3.85 UC GPA, 4.3 uncapped), but an extremely rigorous schedule, perfect test scores, a lot of EECS experience (a few awards), and great essays?

Dear OP,Are you actually serious? How do you exist??????If you are actually serious, go and meet with admissions and potential faculty and ask them pointed specific questions about existing programs you look forward to contributing on as an intern/student. etc.Best,M

How much does being a valedictorian or salutatorian affect your chances of getting into UCLA or UC San Diego?

Zero.

The UC campuses have a policy of not considering class rank in admissions. The valedictorian of a really crappy high school, for example, might have a lot lower GPA than the 10th rank person at a better school.

Of course, they do look at GPA. And a valedictorian or salutatorian would obviously have a high GPA, which will really help.

My chances of getting into UCI, UCSD. CSU Chico, Nursing Programs in general?

I have moved schools every single year of my high school career but i have maintained a 4.0 GPA every semester. i have just completed my junior year with a 4.0, i was thinking of using that as my personal statement, how much i moved amd i set goals.for myself.
Weighted GPA:4.0
Unweighted GPA: 4.0
SAT is terrible: 1390 (retake?)
Class Rank: 12/371
I could never really get jnvolved in schools and get into AP courses because I've moved around so much and i could never get the summer work.
I am involved in CSF, HYLC, NSHSS (AMBASSADOR), ASB STUDENT GOVERNEMNT, I am going to a leadership camp in UCSB next month, and i got promoted to crew leader at my job at little caesars,

I am.so freaked out that senior year is right around the corner and soon i have to apply to colleges. I have a dream and passion for helping people and becoming a nurse in the NICU, but i want to know my chances, can you guys be realistic with me.

Its so sad that colleges look at whos better than think hey, this person actually wants to be here and has a passion for this.

I moved around a lot and i think that ruined me for highschool... thanks give me answers??

What are my chances of getting into UCLA, UC Berkley, or UCI?

I am a senior in highschool and I have already submitted my college apps, but I just want to know my chances of getting into these schools because the anticipation is giving me anxiety. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA and a 4.3 weighted GPA. I got a 1370 on my SAT and I have 300+ community service hours, as I am heavily connected to my church and its volunteer opportunities. I am the president of a writers club at school, one of the editors for the school newspaper, and I am a member of the chess club also. I have taken 11 AP classes included this year’s, and I have passed all but one AP test that I have taken so far(AP calc AB). I am a low class minority and I go to a school that is predominantly white. My grades slipped a bit Soohmore year due to personal reasons, but I throughly adressed that and my significant improvment+steps I took to recover in my personal statements. What are the chances I will get into these UCs?

Chance at uci, ucsd, ucla , ucb?

by the looks of your info, i think you'll make it in the UCs...no sweat. they're all about numbers and you've got them for sure. and your school's Troy, so that kinda helps as well. but the thing you got to know about UCs is that their basis on who they accept varies every year. some years, they stress extracurriculars more than GPA and SAT scores. some years, it's vice versa. my advice (and it's kinda asking a lot) is that you balance your schedule. your EC are fine, but they're mediocre. my advice:
- don't do everything...pick one thing and dedicate your time and energy into it. colleges want to see that you have some passion/interest in ONE thing. oh, and it also makes for a good essay topic.
- as for school, do this: figure out which classes you can slack through but still can get a good grade in it. then put more effort in the harder classes. that way, your grades will be close to perfect.
- write great fantastic essays. distinguished ones that aren't boring. more importantly, DON'T BE TYPICAL.
but the whole thing comes to what the college is looking for THAT SPECIFIC year and chance...honestly, it's chance. but by the looks of it, you've got a great advantage when it comes to the UCs. oh, one more thing: with your academic achievements so far, try for the private universities...you never know what could happen.

What are the chances to get into universities like UCSD, CMU, UT Austin, UCLA for an MS with the profile below, assuming that I will score more than 100 in TOEFL?

The chances are pretty high for every university mentioned above but what matters is your personal research based profile. If you have worked in an IT company and the project which you have been doing over there is thematic to the course to which you are applying for then its great. I got UCSD & USC with the score of 318, and currently in a whatsapp group of these univs admits. There many guys similar to your profile have been admitted, but you never know, what they are looking for. ALL THE BEST!! an keep your heads up

Chances of me getting into UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC San Diego?

You have a SAT math score of 500, and you're Asian? Are you mongoloid? Your Asian father probably should wonder who his wife was sleeping with. Sorry, just kidding. You're just proof that not all Asians are good at math, I guess. You're just going to have to apply to all the UC's and CSU's that are all possible for you to attend, to see which ones accept you. Your SAT is really low for UC's. Your biggest problem is that you'll be competing with all the asians who did score 800's on their math section, particularly at UC Irvine (known as the Eastern Asian UC Anteaters). If you're parents can afford it, you should also apply to Harvey Mudd, the other Claremont Colleges, and some other private schools, like maybe Occidental and University of Redlands. The public universities are much closer in price to many private universities now than they were 10 years ago. If you have an idea of what your major will be, then evaluate the schools based on that major.
