Could Be Any More Clear That The Only Thing Democrats Care About Is Being Re-elected

Why do you support the democrats or republicans?

Why do you support the political party that you choose. Do you agree with all their views? I can't agree fully with either party. I seem to have this ability to make up my own mind as to which position I take toward things. Like take for instance welfare. I think we need to support those who really need it like the elderly and handicapped, but those who don't are abusing the system and it needs to be revamped. So what I am really wondering is how the die hard whatever party members on here that just bash the other party decide which party they are going to support.

Most Annoying thing about Democrats? Most annoying about republicans?

Let me be objective about this, or at least try. What I truly dislike about both of them is their disregard of personal liberty. The Democrats tend to err on the side of societal values, the Republicans tend to err on the side of individual values. Neither is bent on making the country a better place, but instead, of staying in office. If it's convenient for reelection they will both say anything. I think the GOP is all too often the party of the corrupt (fraud/abuse of power) while the Dems are usually the ones that seem to have personal ethics issues.

As far as your annoyance with intellectualism/elitism in the Democrat Party, I think you are right to an extent. Scientists, doctors, lawyers, professors, writers, artists, and others with graduate degrees or higher vote Democrat 2:1; it might speak to their intellect, but many ignorant people support the DNC as well. You don't need to be smart to be a democrat, but if you are, you probably are a democrat.

How can we engage more people in the democratic process?

As a parent of 2 teenage daughters, I hear the frustration they share with "rigged class elections, popularity vs. content, etc." within their own peer elections. I worry that our youth is missing the truth and honor of "personal integrity" and need to learn democratic integrity first from their parents and then from public role models such as teachers, community leaders and elected officials.

The democratic process should begin in the home with active parenting; not passive or dictactorship styles. Active parenting provides a forum to share and to hear ideas, solutions, praise, criticism, etc. as well as an understanding that one's ideas should always be heard, considered and respected, but not necessarily always taken. This foundation then naturally expands into school where teachers may mirror this type of democratic atmoshere. Additionally, I feel more demonstrative practice is needed within the school system in order for our youth to understand the democratic process on a personalized local level. Washington is far away; OUR community is right in front of us.

One solution may be to link community leaders with schools and to openly invite ideas, internship-for-a-day programs or other activities that marry "the process" with a reality that children understand. If the democratic process is understood and actively demonstrated locally then a national understanding is more easily comprehended.

Of course all ages need to be engaged with this process. If we educate and engage at a younger age, it is a natural concequence that the democratic process will continue well into young adulthood and beyond. The age of 18 gives our youth the right to vote and to be a legal adult; if their upbringing engaged the democratic process, then our Leaders-of-Tomorrow will continue and expand the democratic process.

Why do Democrats always cheat on their wives ?

You admit 2 out 5 Democrat presidents have not cheated on their wives, yet you still say "Democrats ALWAYS cheat on their wives."

Why do conservatives ALWAYS lie?

Mark Sanford told everyone he was hiking the Appalachian Trail when he was really flying to Argentina to cheat on his wife. Republicans just re-elected him to Congress. David Vitter has admitted to soliciting prostitutes, yet he gets re-elected. Clearly, Republicans do not stand on any moral high ground either.

Edit: Because you are only looking at recently elected presidents. As I pointed out, Democrats are not any more likely to cheat on their wives. Republicans do it quite often themselves. Newt Gingrich is a serial offender.

What is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's & the Democratic Party's plan for how to free the Venezuelan people from the grip of the brutal dictator?

Like most things, it depends on who you ask.

A mix of:

- Recognizing Guaidó as president
- Imposing sanctions
- Calling for a new, monitored election

No Democrat (at least that I am aware of) supports military intervention. A handful support no action at all in Venezuela by the United States, but this opinion is held by a minority.

Who do you think will win the 2012 American presidential election? (and why)?

In my opinion i hope Romney wins.
here's why: -I think America is very separated as a nation right now
-whether you're pro gay marriage, pro life, or pro choice i really don't think this is relatively important in the next election because i personally believe we should be working to making America become debt free and focused on fixing the economy...plus no social issue is going to be passed in congress with it being so mixed opinionated.
-If you like obamacare or not...i believe it should definitely should have not been passed, at least not at this time, with it adding tons of more debt in a economic crisis....plus Obama clearly lied to the American people saying it would not be a tax-when that was the only reason it was in fact deemed constitutional.
-I want a president that will at least try to fix the damn economy...i mean all obama has done is add more and more and more debt to America....Now is not the time to try to advocate a healthcare law that half the population is against and adds debt.
-In my opinion Obama is a great talker, but to me i feel like all he does is straight up lie to the American people and deceives them ... I feel like he'll say anything to get re-elected (not that Romney won't either)
-Overall, American needs a president that is focused on fixing the economy. We don't need to be debating social issues or putting in a new healthcare system, rather coming up with new solutions to fixing the economy. Obama has failed in every aspect in fixing the economy...As i see it, Romney is a successful businessman and therefore will at least have a better shot at fixing the economy.
