Rate my drawings?
Your drawings show that you know how to handle a pencil and the diverse colouring pens and I congratulate you for that. It will be just the right basis to add essential knowledge to significantly boost and improve your drawing. You are very talented. What is lacking is the "right view", though: You must understand that many of the things we draw, even if drawn in an artful way like you, are just very complex "ideograms", or symbols of which most people understand that they stand for a particular item. But being ideograms, the drawings do not really represent the naturalist view, they are just symbols that vaguely resemble the things they represent. You could call that an elaborate form of comic drawing. If you want to improve your drawing, try to bring down on paper what you really see. It may be more obvious to understand what I mean if you compare your "girl with a flower" to this "girl with flower" I took from the internet: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/girl-... You see that there is an elaborate play of light and shadow and you can imagine that the picture that was drawn there is something you can actually and in reality see. It is no longer a symbol for a girl with a flower, it is the attempt to fix an actual observation on paper. The good news is: You can also do that, as your attempts clearly show. You just lack the "right eye". One book that could help you acquire this "new eye", this realistic view of things when you draw them, is "Drawing on the right side of the brain", by Betty Edwards. She teaches the drawer / painter to see the world in a different way so as to enable him to draw more realistically.

Rate my pencil drawing from 1-10?
I am going to be honest with you . . . you show a lot of skill. But it is obvious that you have not done a lot of observation/drawing from life. I would love to see what you can do with a live model, or a drawing of a car not done from a professionally taken photograph. At some point, in order to fully realize your potential you must take risks, and drawing from life is one of them. It could only make your art better, raising it to the level seen in college art portfolios. Right now it is average . . . for a 16 year old artist, about a 6. You are actually more adventurous than I was at 16, but most (over 95%) of my work was from life. I was also using india ink, pastels, and pen and ink with watercolor washes at your age. And I was painting in acrylics on canvas . . . but looking back, I had a lot to learn!!! However, you DO display the ability to use several different techniques, with is excellent. Keep up the good work. Try another medium besides pencil. . . like pen and ink (your stippling would really get some attention) and even washes of ink. You handle value well when you have value to work with, but again, drawing from life with a definitive light source . . . and I bet your drawings would really improve!
