Did The Giants Build The Pyramids

Did Giants in the Bible build the pyramids?

The giants in the Bible were for the most part lost in the flood of Noah. The giants are mentioned in Genesis 5, and the flood comes in the next chapter. There are some Biblical references to the Israelites making bricks while enslaved in Egypt. Many believe that Egyptian slaves built the pyramids, but bricks are a long way away from the stones used to build the huge structures that make up the pyramids. Dedicated to the ruling class in Egypt, we can assume each of the pharaohs and royalty used their own architects to design them, and then used slaves and laborers to build them.

How did humans build pyramids?

Zhi Li, Everybody is welcome to a yahoo question, so you simply did not rain my parade, I did not say get a crane, you are saying some futile, of something I did not say. Building a snow man That is (round) is not the same as building a pyramid (triangle) as you say, Simply due to weight, Height, Shape, and structure etc. Again I did not say get a crane, I Simply said did they have a crane? Whole different meanings, you failed to read my question correctly.

HOW DID EGYPTIANS BUILD PYRAMIDS?!?

even today we dont have the technology to build something like that. how did the egyptians carry those giant stone bricks? and more importantly whered they get the blocks from and howd they shape them? i ask this because the other day i swear me and a bunch of other ppl saw a real UFO and i heard maybe aliens helped build the pyramids.

Were the pyramids built by giants known as the Nephilim?

The Nephalim giants are biblical constructs that never existed.  Technically, they are a misinterpretation from the translation of the bible that originally meant "great men", as in heroic or well accomplished.  A poor translation or interpretation has made them giants. That said, the building of the pyramids is well documented, and by ordinary mortals.  Not likely even slaves, but both skilled artisans and a general workforce made up of the population outside of sowing and harvest seasons. We know this because there are villages and centers that were dedicated to the care and feeding of the workforce (medical facilities included), as well as tombs with inscriptions commenting on the importance of the occupant during the days of building.  Inside the pyramids are graffiti written by members of the gangs that made up the workforce (and meant to show their pride at being such). Please don't perpetuate the idea that it took supernatural or super human abilities to create such wondrous monuments.  Man himself is capable of so much, and the people who planned and built these and other wonders should be given the credit due them for their ingenuity and sheer determination.  Living in an age of powered machinery, people today tend to forget we had to start somewhere without all the gee whizzery.

Did aliens build the Pyramids?

The idea that anyone apart from the Ancient Egyptians built any of their structures is too idiotic to consider.

There is an evolution in building techniques from the earliest "mastaba" tombs to stepped pyramids, then to smooth-sided pyramids. The tools and techniques used in cutting stones and dressing them are known to archaeologists - exactly the same techniques were used in other parts of the ancient middle East.

Why would you need a "giant tool" to create a large building? The Polynesians erected huge stone statues on Easter Island using palm logs, small stone hand axes and locally produced ropes.

"The Egyptians never drew one picture of a pyramid" - this level of ignorance is unbelievable - they drew pyramids under construction and gave each one an individual name, using the hieroglyph of a pyramid as a determinative at the end. There are inscriptions detailing the work, the names of each "gang" of workers, the name of the architects, the amount of oil and food needed to supply the workers and the time spent in construction. There are also pictures showing large stones being transported by boat down the Nile from quarry to pyramid site.

Blueprints would be on papyrus, which would not survive unless sealed in a tomb, which was never considered necessary. There are no existing blueprints for Roman aquaducts, roads or forts - in your scheme of things this must mean that they were also built by visiting green aliens.

In over 40 years of studying Egyptian art in museums and photographic records, I have never found a single drawing of an "alien", except of course in the sense of "foreign aliens" working and living in Egypt. I am able to read hieroglyphic inscriptions and there is certainly no reference anywhere to alien beings from the sky arriving in spaceships, despite the garbage written by some of the more insane modern writers.

Edit: The alleged helicopter and UFO referred to in another answer are in fact a palimpsest - a case of one text being inscribed over another (a very common practice). This, plus erosion of the stone, has led to confusion in the shape of the hieroglyphs, which are really nothing more than standard glyphs. See http://www.catchpenny.org/abydos.html
for a detailed description of the real text - which I can guarantee is nothing to do with helicopters or UFOs.

What is a pyramid? How can we build one today?

I have a small pyramid built to the specification of the Great Pyramid of Giza. I've tried putting grapes in it and they rot faster.
Basically a pyramid has a square base with sloped sides. The slope of the Great Pyramid is around 52 degrees. Usually bricks or something similar is used to build one.
The link below is to a fold-up version of the Great Pyramid. Once you have the slope right you can extend it to any height.

Ancient Egypt: How did they build the pyramids with such accuracy and no mechanical equipment?

Arent they aligned with the stars? How did these ancient marvels get built by these "primative folk"? Can some one please help me understand what the hell went on there?

Why does it take so long to build a pyramid?

It took the Egyptians a long amount if time to build pyramids because back then, there were no machines of tools. The Egyptians had to push the Giant heavy blocks by themselves. It took at least 5 Egyptians to pull one block. There were also obstacles to face, like ramps, this made the job much harder and slower. Sometimes, they even had to carry the blocks, which was a painstaking job. Then came the actual job of assembling the pyramid. It was extremely difficult to stack such heavy stone one on top of the Other. And after each stack was finished they had to assemble the next stack even higher, which meant carrying the block (which im pretty sure weighs at least 1 ton)

But with the technologies, machines, and cranes that we have today, I bet we could make a pyramid As big as Giza in less than 1.5 years.
