Do You Plug Your Headphones In Your Monitor

HP monitor headphone jack?

Assuming the monitor has built in speakers and is plugged into PC sound card, you will need a splitter that plugs into same port monitor speaker was using. Now plug monitor speakers into one side of splitter and headphones into other side. There is possibly a headphone jack on the front of your PC.

Hooking up headphones to monitor with PS3?

I recently bought a PS3 and hooked it up to my HP 2509m monitor. I would like to be able to listen to my games with a headphone, so I don't annoy the people who live across the walls. Anyway, I tried plugging a headphone into the headphone jack of the monitor, but the PS3 doesn't seem to recognize that there's a headphone plugged in and keeps sending sound to the monitor speakers. I looked on the settings monitor and they don't have anything to say about this; I'm not sure if there's a PS3 setting to use or not. Any suggestions?

How do I plug Headphones into my PC?

Don't bash me with sarcastic comments, I actually use my TV as my monitor and my speakers. My TV's headphone jack is un reachable and has to be taken off the wall to plug in. I plug my headphones into my green headphone prot on the computer 's big system unit but my headphones don't work
How do I make them work?

What is the purpose of a headphone jack in the monitor that does not have built-in speaker?

As what Adam Banks said, my LG also has audio-in, useful for DIY surround sound (if your MB supports it) I use the back speakers jack for back speakers, and the front speakers jack through the Monitor’s audio-in.

Can I use my built in monitor speakers and a set of headphones at the same time?

You can do what you are asking, but not the way you were asking it. Most headphone jacks are a hardware switch internally, that is, plugging in the headphones physically opens the circuit to the speakers, so it is impossible to have both on without some hardware hacking.

However, you could just plug a headphone splitter into your computer, run one line from splitter to monitor, and the other from splitter to your amp. The problem with splitting is you get a 1/2 strength signal (-3 dB) out of each split, but you can just turn up the volume on your PC.

The other option is to get a USB audio adapter and switch between outputs in your OS - this will allow you to switch between them without moving away from your computer, but is still an either-or option:

How to hook up headphones to ps3?

I have done this for several friends and is very possible with about $5 worth of parts.

you will need:

1x dual RCA female to 3.5mm stereo female adapter

see the makeshift diagram below

PS3 male connects into 2xRCA female and combine to 1x 3.5mm female stereo headset jack to connect your male headset.

PS3 male....RCA female....stereo female...headset male

The link below will give you a visual as to the 2 female RCA connections, the only caveat is ALL
connections on the RCA to 3.5mm adapter you need must be female in order to connect your PS3 RCA and headset 3.5mm male connections.

I have one of these, but I found mine at a Car audio retailer $5 for the cable and the adapter, perfect for what you need.

When I have my headphones plugged into my laptop why do I hear a wind/static sound?

I found out it almost has nothing to do with the laptop or computer, but what you use around it.

It can be your sound is turned all the way up, this sometimes causes distortion.

More than likely, if you hear static? It's your laser mouse. I found this out after moving my speakers further away from my mouse. Problem solved, no static noise.

If this isn't your problem, then determine what is close to the laptop. If nothing, then try audio settings. Adjust volumes.

Still nothing? Try new headphones, maybe they're crappy. If that doesn't work, it could be just all the static and interference from the componets running inside the laptop. Hard drives or what not.

Hope this helps.

Is my new hp w1907 monitor compatable with headphones?

yes

Can I connect PS4 to monitor without speakers?

Yes you can but you won't be able to get any audio feedback. For that use a headphone or earphones connected to your controller.

I want to buy the Dell S2316H, but it doesn't have headphone jack, it only has line-in and line-out ports, and?

Buy a headphone adapter to plug into the line-in port or try to plug your headphone directly on your motherboar, it probably has three standard ports that are line-in (plug in it instead of your monitor), line-out and microphone.

Good luck!
