Hello, I am currently 16 years old about to turn 17 in 1 month. I have grown about 1/2 inch since age 14. I am currently 5'7 3/4" and I wish to grow to at least 5'11. My mother is 5'3" and my father is 5'7". The people on my mother's side of the family are tall, my cousin being 5'11, my grandfather is 6'1, and my uncle is 6'2-6'3. I eat healthy, sleep 7-8 hours daily, and stretch intensely daily. I shave every 6-9 days and am barely growing chest hair and have a fair amount of pubic hair. Also, my X-Ray results say my bone age is 19.1. What do you think will be my final height? Can masturbation also affect height?

Pulling out the mother of boys hat for this one. My husband is short. I’m short. My brother is short, so was my mother and sister. BUT we also both had some sneaky genes poking up their heads when the boys were born so we ended up with all of them at about 6 feet or just under it at 5′11″They were never happy with that. Most likely, if you are male. Boys generally keep growing slowly, sometimes into the early 20s. Ask your dad and uncles on both sides of your family ( your mother’s brothers are best indicators of how tall you finally top out at). And be patient.

Why wouldn't it happen? 5'7" isn't terribly tall; I'm three or so inches taller than that and my height never seemed to matter.Specifically, if you have a certain tall guy in mind, it will depend on if he wants to date you, and your height may not matter at all to him.
