If you could only choose one, what would be your favorite movie of all times?

This hypothetical question begins with “IF you could only choose one…” I cannot. Whether being asked my favorite Dylan song or author or city or novel, I always think in terms of a small pool of favorites because I do not know how to narrow it beyond that. When I built my first website, this was my list of favorite films:1. Paths of Glory (Kirk Douglas)This Kubrick classic exemplifies the art of storytelling in film. Every viewing yields new treasures. A must see by this master of the medium.2. Educating Rita (Michael Caine, Julie Walters) Dynamite performances all around, and Caine at his best, in a story that avoids cliche, contains depth and charm while being utterly entertaining.3. Truman Show (Jim Carey) Original, remarkable, profound4. Chariots of Fire Inspirational without being insipid. One of the great music soundtracks as well.5. The Trip to Bountiful (Geraldine Page) One of those "I wish I could write like that" movies. Tennessee Williams caliber screen play, but more heart warming than gut wrenching.6. Groundhog Day (Bill Murray) A masterpiece. Really.7. The Mission (Jeremy Irons, Robert DeNiro, Liam Neeson) Challenges our notions of what it means to be live the life of faith in a fallen world.8. It's a Wonderful Life (Jimmy Stewart) This Frank Capra classic stands the test of time. This is indeed "what it's all about." 9. Field of Dreams (Kevin Costner) What a wonderful film. Just watched it again and forgot how good it was. So many great lines. Go the distance!10. Cool Hand Luke (Paul Newman) Another fifties classic that still holds up after all these years.Strictly for the fun of it.1. BeetleJuice (Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keaton & more) A Tim Burton film with all that it implies, but Keaton steals the show.2. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Michael Caine and Steve Martin) 3. A Fish Called Wanda (John Cleese, Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Palin) 4. Zelig (Woody Allen) Brilliant and original.Since writing this there are a number of other films I would add. Vanilla Sky and The Third Man would be two of them.Hope this is helpful.

What is your favorite Woody Allen movie, and why?

There are so many Woody Allen movies that i am fond of, it is almost too difficult to pick a favorite.Love and Death is delightful, Annie Hall is fantastic, Manhattan is sublime, Broadway Danny Rose is superb, Zelig is amazing, Hannah and Her Sisters is excellent, Radio Days is awesome, Everyone Says I Love You is great fun, Match Point is interesting and Blue Jasmine is cool. But i guess if i have to pick an all-time favorite, then it has to be Husbands and Wives. This film gives me goosebumps every time i watch it. It is so close to real life, i practically identify with all the characters. Many of the lines in this movie truly mirror my thoughts, it is almost surreal. This is not a movie that everyone will like because it can be so hard-hitting. But it is definitely the work that i relate to more than any other and i consider it not only my all-time favorite Woody Allen movie but one of my all-time favorites, period!

Whats your favorite movie and why?

Pulp Fiction

Because it contains so many catch phrases that you can use in ur daily life.

What are some movies you will never get tired of watching?

I’m going to give you a list instead of a just one movie. I’ve never ever get tired of these films! The GraduateA very interesting and depressing movie. It’s an essential movie, meaning that you could interpret it whatever way you want!2. Psycho, Alfred HitchcockOne of my all time favorite horror films. People don’t like it because it’s in black and white. But i beg you to check this film out, probably going to be the best film you’ve seen!3. Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mindNo words. Please watch!4. In TimeA world where money is replace with time. Time is the new currency in this film. A very interesting and important film.5. InterstellarOne of my favorite film stories of all time. The story is truly remarkable! Very under-rated film!

What is your most favourite opening sequence from a movie?

Top 3 Opening sequence from Movies;Mission Impossible 3:Starting in medias res, the movie opens with Cruise’s Ethan Hunt waking up strapped into a chair by Philip Seymour Hoffman’s baddie, and staring at his newlywed, bound-and-gagged wife (Michelle Monaghan). The stakes are simple: Hunt has to deliver something called the Rabbit’s Foot, or Hoffman’s character will kill his wife after he counts to ten. Hunt tries his best to dissuade his captor, especially since he believes he already delivered the Rabbit’s Foot. But he’s apparently wrong, Hoffman counts to ten, the gun fires, and we cut to credits. The movie that follows is only a solid action film, but it starts incredibly well.MAD MAX:FURY ROADI actually never expected the movie to be so raw and intense right from the opening sequence itself.Tom Hardy introduces you to his world of chaos through narration before stepping on a lizard and eating it whole. This is a world of fire and blood, and the only means of staying awake is by being faster than everyone else .UP :The story of Carl and Ellie just melts your heart down. Never in my life have I have seen a saddest opening sequence in an animation movie. With no words, an entire love story flashes before our eyes. A couple who we’ve only just met already have our sympathies, and the real story hasn’t even begun .The difference in treatment I saw (even in opening credit) , made me realize that animation movies are no longer for Kids alone. One of the best animation movies by Pixar. Thanks

What are the 5 best movies you have ever seen?

I like watching classic world cinema. However, they are pretty much about serious topics like Holocaust, War, Gender equality or full on drama so I am not sure if  I can see them all over again and again. Its usually comedy stuff that I can watch again and again. So here is the top 5 in no specific order.Shawshank Redemption. To hear Morgan Freeman deliver those cult dialogues in that godly voice."Andy Dufresne, who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne, headed for the Pacific. Those of us who knew him best talk about him often. I swear, the stuff he pulled... Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice, but still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty now that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend."Grave of the FirefliesA 1988 Japanese animated film written and directed by Isao Takahata and animated by Studio Ghibli based  the true story of a young boy and his kid sister after the world war II. Considered it to be one of the best and most powerful war films it also depicts how much animation is capable of moving an audience. 50 First datesA 2004 American romantic comedy film starring Adam Sandler as a woman-chasing veterinarian and Drew Barrymore as an amnesiac. This one is my favorite purely because of Adam Sandler. It makes me laugh every time I watch it. I guess I have already watched it 50 times! :PUPI don't think I need to write why? Pixar created a better love story in 8 minutes than the any film maker could in 2 hours. The film is funny throughout with cult characters. Roman Holiday A 1953 romantic comedy directed and produced by William Wyler. It stars Gregory Peck as a reporter and Audrey Hepburn as a royal princess out to see Rome on her own. As you will watch the movie you will realize that every romance and comedy that we see in cinema today has been derived from this film. A very enjoyable flick to watch with family as well as on a date! :)
