Does anyone know good instrumental songs for a figure skating program?
Okay so I have a competition coming up in a few months and i wanna find a really nice instrumental song for my program. I want it to be pretty upbeat, with maybe a spooky (Walking Dead theme song) or desert-y(?) vibe to it. I definitely DON'T want anything that sounds to "flowery" or super classical or anything. Like modern-y instrumental. Yeah that's it. A video game instrumental would be really cool too! (I've been contemplating a few Elder Scrolls and Legend of Zelda tracks) Thank you! :) xoxo
Does anyone know of an instrumental music piece that tells a story?
Eighteenth century composer Heinrich Ignaz Biber wrote a chilling work entitled "Operation for the Removal of a Stone," for narrator and small orchestra. As the title suggests, this is a graphic account of an anaesthetic-less attempt to remove some poor guy's gallstone, accompanied by all kinds of blood-curdling instrumental effects. Unfortunately I couldn't find a video of this piece for you, but there is an excellent recording available made in the 1970s by Concentus Musicus Wien/Nicolaus Harnoncourt - though if you need it by Monday, it could be a problem... What is an instrumental song that everyone knows, but probably doesn't know the title of?
The 60s were a great time for instrumentals, and some of them you have probably heard—over the years they crop up in movies, commercials, in public, and without the lyrics, it’s hard to know what the name of the catchy tune was. Here are a few.Classical Gas by Mason WilliamsSleep Walk by Santo and JohnnyA Taste of Honey by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana BrassThis one is called The Disadvantages of You by The Brass Ring, although it’s not a true, pure instrumental, since a woman is sing lalala throughout most of it.Theme from a Summer Place by Percy Faith and his Orchestra, which has shown up in a number of movies, other than The Summer Place, that is.Here is Love is Blue by Paul Mauriat, which was one of my mom’s favorites.Music to Watch Girls By. The video says Bob Crewe Generation, but to me it sounds like the Tijuana Brass. There was also the work of Henry Mancini, many of whose songs are instantly recognizable, but people are more likely to know the titles, such as Moon River (featured in Breakfast at Tiffanys), The Pink Panther, Peter Gunn, the Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet, and the Baby Elephant March.
Does anyone know what the music track listing is for the Wheels of Fire skateboarding DVD? If you do u r GOD!?
Band: Title: Descendents Descendents Descendents Coolige Descendents I'm Not A Loser Descendents Silly Girl Firehose Brave Captain Firehose Hear Me Firehose Sometimes Firehose Windmilling Black Flag Wasted Black Flag Scream Black Flag Nervous Breakdown Black Flag Depression Blast Surf & Destroy Blast It's In My Blood Sonic Youth White Cross Sonic Youth Catholic Block Minutemen Paranoid Chant Minutemen I Feel Like Gringo Blind Idiot God Dark and Light SWA Succumb Gone Instrumental Pailhead Don't Stand In Line Pailhead Man Should Surrender Screaming Lord Salba & Heavy Friends Instrumental Jerry Webber Instrumental I looked it up and for some strange reason the soundtrack is the same exact list as "wheels of fire" with addition to one more song being Paul Delph "instrumental". Unfortunately, I don't know where to purchase a copy of these soundtracks but you could always get the songs from limewire.
Does anybody know a really good instrumental song similar to Schindler's List theme or The Chairman's Waltz?
You like Instrumentals that are atmospheric right with Violins... I am guessing? Look under the composer that did those movies that's a good place to start. Malena - Ennio Morricone (soundtrack/score movie Malena) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzJxHw4JF... Sparrows - Mark Mancina (Moll Flanders Soundtrack) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkIAJtIIM... the Movie Soundtrack for "Birth" - Alexandre Desplat (Composer) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C2xceRRU... Instrumental Suite from Indecent Proposal - John Barry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFOCqZxRDU0 the Painted Veil - Alexandre Desplat (The Painted Veil Soundtrack) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urci4i9zX6M&feature=related Weepy Donuts & Main song - Danny Elftman (Good Will Hunting Soundtrack) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1xqn0W7Mts Hester Rides to Town & the Love Scene - John Barry (Scarlet Letter Soundtrack) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EFHqT2AR8Q Bibo no Aozora - Gustavo Santaolalla (From the Soundtrack Babel) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LI2mHRycJ4&feature=related Also if you find that you like Gustavo he did the Soundtrack for Motorcycle Diaries with more of a guitar influence :) I love music and instrumental scores from movies the key is to find composers similar to John Williams and if his main instrument you hear is Violins... then bittersweet and melancholy. Happy Listening! Respectfully Submitted Psboston7
