Does Anyone Know Where I Can Buy The Romanian Version Of

What are the pros. and cons. of the Romanian AK-47 wasr 10.?

I bought two, 05-05-08, both guns have slight cant to sights, one rifle shot better than the other I however corrected the front sights P.O.I(point of impact) and have had no other problems accuracy wise. You may want to consider a heads up display or peep sight for sight enhancement. Both rifles have had problems feeding ammo from composite or plastic magazines, specifically the 30 round variety, with the ones' that did give problems I altered the flats forward and aft of feed lips, that corrected the problem.......Would I hesitate buying more of these rifles, NO. Are there more expensive versions( i.,e., Bulgarian, Egyptian, China, USA ) yes, if the thought of spending $1,000.00 - $1300.00 and no ammo or extra magazine appeals to you, then the rest is up to you......Good Luck and Happy shooting. Don

What is it like to move to England from Romania?

After the novelty of being in England wears out, you will appreciate everything you took in Romania for granted:nice and warm weather, sun and blue sky in spring, summer and autumnthe fun, the jokes and the hilarious discussions you had with your family and friends around a table full of glorious foodthe beautiful Carpathians mountains with their forests and wild animals, the warm sea in summera good education system and cultured people who still read books and can make an interesting conversationall the fruits in spring and summer, the varied Romanian cuisine, the “must” (grape juice) and “tulburel (slightly fermented grape juice) in autumn…the majestic divine liturgy in beautiful churches and all festivities at Christmas, Easter and beyond. What you will get in England:Awful weather, cold, damp with grey sky most of the timeNo friends and a lot of loneliness, unless you congregate with your compatriotsA flat and boring scenery for most of the timeAn education systems where only well-off people can buy a good educationPizza, burgers, curry and fish &chips (with vinegar on them) for foodA cramped accommodation where you share a flat with half a dozen of strangersVastly underpaid jobs where you will considered more than a slave, a serf than a humanA political elite who makes Romanians the scapegoat for all British problemsA media who hate Romanians and takes every any opportunity to show their contemptHaving fun consisting of getting drunk to oblivion. high on drugs, and have one night stands with strangersChurches sold to be converted in flats because they are empty most of the timeOK, you will get far more money in England, but only that: more money. After 25 years of life in England, I still wonder if more money can compensate all what I lost leaving Romania.

Bullets and scopes for Romanian PSL-54c?

Best place I have found for Russian optics and mounts for Russian-based firearms is Kalinka Optics
(http://www.kalinkaoptics.com/). They sell PSOs and POSPs with both fixed and zoom focus up to 12x.

As for ammo, I'd suggest buying surplus. Better quality than wolf and much cheaper. There's tons of it out there:

http://www.jgsales.com/index.php/ammo-fo...
http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/index.php/cName/762x54r-fmj-ammo

etc.

Note that some surplus is steel core and many indoor ranges don't allow that.

Is the Romanian AK Draco pistol considered a handgun?

I'm not sure about the state of Washington, but in North Carolina, no. I went to a gunshow and ran into a guy that bought one there. He said that he had a pistol permit in hand just to buy a Draco, but the salesman at the gunshow told him they did not require pistol permits to sell Dracos. In one hand he held the Romanian weapon and in the other he proudly held a Glock. Lifting the Glock in the air, he said he still made good use out of the permit lol.

Check your local laws. But I wouldn't think the Federal government would allow a gun to be purchased in one state as a pistol and another as a rifle. That would mean that in North Carolina, even though I'm under the age of 21, I can still legally purchase a gun that is considered to be a handgun. Since that breaks Federal law, I'm just guessing no, it is not considered a handgun.

In Romania when receiving a delivery at Amazon, what info do I put in for "State/Province/Region" for Bucharest?

Just leave the field[s] empty. Now, some explanations. Romania doesn’t have a federal organization so the state is not needed. There is an organization in counties but Bucharest doesn’t belong to any of them. Although the region is Muntenia, it isn’t needed. Concerning the province, I don’t think there is one. The postal code might be helpful. Look for the street name, number and city on the following site: Coduri Postale Romania (the link should take you to an English version of a postal code search engine).
