In which ear should guys get a piercing done?
Back in the day it was the left ear but in this day and age you can do both, actually I'd recommend it, single left ear only just doesn't look right now. The “stigma” used to be, and don't anyone take offense to this please, that any guy with a ear piercing other than the left only was “gay.” I personally had my left done over 20 years ago but no longer wear lobe piercings. I do have a 12 guage cartilage piercing on the left and industrial on the right. If it were to do my lobes again, it be both, with ear plugs between a 2 to 00 guage, any bigger requires them to be sewn back together. But to each his own.
I want a belly button piercing, a nose piercing, and an industrial bar?
I'm turning 13 this summer (July) and I really want some piercings. Not because of boys or anything like that. I really want an industrial bar in my ear. I know like three people who have them. they said it hurts a lot, but I'm wicked good with pain. i have my ears pierced twice. (in total, four piercings.) i got the first piercing when I was four on my ear lobes. the usual spot. it didn't hurt one bit, i laughed literally the whole time. the second time I was ten, i was a little freaked out but it didn't hurt at all. And now I'm ready for more X) My parents will be okay about the industrial bar, and probably the nose. I do NOT want a nose ring, those are disgusting. i want a tiny little stud on the left side like Miley Cyrus. I think it'll look cute. I also want a belly button piercing. Maybe pink or yellow. nothing fancy, just a normal belly button piercing, ya know ? The thing is, my half - sister Renata got a belly button piercing without her mom's or our dad's permission. and then she was sick for like, a year. The doctors couldn't figure it out. then she went to the homeopathic place or whatever, and the lady told her to take out her belly button piercing, and she got better the next day. her piercing wasn't dirty or anything, it was just stabbing right through a sensitive spot in her nervous system. so now my dad is like, "ABSOLUTELY NO." and i don't know how to convince him. i really want it. i guess to me getting these very simple, not-dangerous(if done correctly by a professional), pretty, easy-to-take-out piercings is my way of showing emotion. they hold my feelings, and also, it is a major way I express how I am growing up, and i want my parent's respect and trust. It's not like I'm going all out with the piercings. They're simple. any advice/tips for me? what kinds of piercings I should get? your opinion on the situation? how to show my dad I'm ready, and that i won't get sick if i get it carefully professionally done?
Should I get an industrial piercing or cartilage and second hole?
Ever since I first saw an industrial piercing, I thought it was awesome. However, I don't think my parents want me to get it. They think it looks "goth" and "tacky" etc. but I don't think so. I could probably convince them otherwise (They ARE my ears, I have the money, I want to be original). Practically everyone I know has cartilage and their second hole, so I wanted to be different and get industrial. Every time I see it I note how it looks on that person and I think it would look good on me. I'm not worried about pain at all, I'll suck it up, but which is more likely to get infected? Also, my parents think I have "cute" ears and don't want me to ruin that, so could I say that it would just enhance it? Please respond about what you feel just generally looks better to help me decide on what to do. :)
5 day old cartilage piercing swollen and throbbing...?
I just got my cartilage pierced with a needle just 5 days ago! And i've been using non iozided sea salt and water to clean it. Like it's swollen on the outside of the cartilage apprently my mom said it's bad... I say it's fine. But you know it's the part that seperates the front and back that middle? Well that and it goes up swelling even more. My friend wacked my ear yesterday but i cleaned it lightly, theres no puss or bump just throbbing and swollen. Like what did i do wrong to get this just 5 days after!? Is it because my friend it my ear it got like this? It didn't bleed after. So how do i get the throbbing and swelling gone cause i don't want to take the stud out or use peroxide. Thanks :/
Can i dye my hair when i've just got a piercing?
i'm getting my helix/cartilage piercing tomorrow but i had got hair dye ages ago to dye my hair for christmas..i just read you have to wait until it heals before you dye your hair incase any gets into it..what will i do...??!! i don't know if i should even dye my hair cause my friend says she thinks i should stop dying it and for some reason thinks i dye it all the time when i dont! can i cover the piercing?
