Does Sprint Have Good Reception

Does Sprint have bad reception?

I live around Los Angeles, and I have verizon, so ofcourse I never have a problem with bad reception. But I loveeeee the Pink Centro phone, verizon has a pink blackberry, but I like Palm. Would it be a bad decision to switch to sprint for that lol is it really as horrible as ive heard?

Is the Pink Centro going to be available ONLY for Sprint customers, or will it end up everywhere like the razr did

Does AT&T have a good cell reception in the tri state area?

I don’t know where the tri-state area is, but you can easily search for AT&T coverage maps and put in a state or city and select service (select 4G LTE if you care about data) and voila-a map will show up. You can zoom in and out to see the coverage area you’re interested in. I just did this myself as I’m planning to visit my cousin in Wisconsin, and I remember coverage in her town was not good.

Does T-Mobile have good service? Reception?

t-mobile service is average. There are places that t-mobile doesn't get service, but at&t and verizon does. It also depends on the phone you get. All phones are different. Some phones get good service, some phones don't get good service. As for dropped calls, I got more dropped calls with t-mobile than I get with at&t. All in all, service is okay for t-mobile, and is also the cheapest cell phone provider.

Does Sprint get good reception?

Sprint has great reception in washington. you can go on to the website and check the coverage at anytime. it will tell you how good it is down to the intersection. it will actually tell you if you will have reception in a building on the street and even in a car. Plus Washington was one of the test area for Sprints 4G service. And it will also depend on if you want Sprint service or Nextel Service. But its pretty good mostly all over Washington.

Tmobile vs Sprint cell phone reception in los angeles?

Now that 4G is available from both Sprint and Tmobile, I am ready to switch to a 4G phone.

I am currently with Sprint and they officially release the 4G in the greater Los Angeles area Dec 1, 2010. Tmobile has a system in place already.

I have a fundamental need to have a good telephone reception above all, which means I can't tolerate dropped calls or no signal.

As of now, Sprint is pretty good and they cover all the urban areas well, however I've seen mostly mountain areas that don't get good or any reception. Dropped calls are very few, including on Topenga, Beverly Glen, Benedict canyons - which I frequently take.

Does anybody have experience with the latest 4G phones of TMobile in above mentioned areas, general LA and the canyons?

And how is their 4G service?

Dropped calls etc?

All feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Which Sprint PDA/smart phone has the BEST reception?

Years ago we purchased a phone and had to return it for poor signal strength the ones we traded for did work better (had more bars). We started having trouble with the carrier (t-Mobil) after a couple of years and it got so bad we left and broke the contract. (oops expensive over site, one phone still had a few months to go) Anyway we went with sprint and I give it a 99 out of 100. We really never have any issues. NO echo back. Full reception in the house. Hardly ever a dropped call. if this company is a 99 then T-Mobil was a 2 that's how bad it got. But it all depends on your area. I think sprint gives you 30 days to change your mind and If you set up thru Costco you will have no sign up fees.

Why does T-Mobile have such horrible reception?

ATT, even though you mentioned they have service in the area, they probably do not have good service in the area. ATT and T-Mobile both run off of nearly the same cell phone towers, networks, and they do use the same technology...called GSM. GSM is a technology that uses SIM Cards, Satellites combined with cell towers to provide you cellular coverage. Verizon Wireless uses Electronic Serial Numbers combined with only cell phone towers to provide you with cell phone coverage...their technology is SIM card free and is called CDMA. GSM is the primary cellular network type in the rest of the world, except the United States and Asia. CDMA is big here and in Asia. CDMA is able to provide cellular coverage by just going strait through the mountains...instead of literally having to have the cell phone signal climb over the mountains. That is why Verizon Wireless has the best coverage in the western part of the country and in much of the rest of the country. In mountains, ATT nor T-Mobile will provide clear reception.

Does Sprint have good coverage?

I recently changed companies from Verizon to Sprint because I was unhappy with Verizon. I wanted to get a new phone because I had the same one for years and it wasn't working that well anymore, but there is an extra $30 a month charge on Verizon on the phones I want. And the only ones that didn't have an extra charge were not really good phones.
However, on my Sprint phone, my reception is not that good because I live in the hills, the only place I get reception is in town. At first I thought it was because of Sprint's coverage, but when I went to my friend's house, everyone at her house also had Sprint and got a lot of reception while I didn't get any at all ( and they all had smartphones too.) I was wondering is it because of a problem with my phone or the company?

Do some cell phones get better reception then others?

well, when we moved to Alabama my husband was given, by his work, this super duper blackberry, which i call blueberry, the reception is horrid, and drops calls alot, guess what? i purchased a trac phone from walmart for 19.99 plus 78.00 worth of minutes and it works everywhere all across the country! i guess it bounces off of everyones towers, n-e-ways try it you'll like it! all you have to do is purchase more minutes, problem solved!

Cell Phone Reception: Which cellular carrier is best for an iPhone (or smartphone) user in Los Angeles?

Depending on you - where you go and where you use your phone - any of the 4 carriers could be best for you.  If Verizon (going by what Sina said) has a small dead zone - that just happens to be your entire house - it's useless to you, but grat for anyone who never comes to your house.  That could be their only dead spot in the entire county - but to you, it's a deal-breaker.I moved to a different city almost 3 years ago, bringing Sprint with me.  They cover this city like a blanket - except for one dead zone, my daughter's house.  AT&T has a few noisy spots, but it's usable wherever I go, so that's where I've been for almost 2 years.  (There's a huge AT&T totally dead spot in one corner of the city - but I never go there, and never will, so I don't care.)Try carriers.  Most of them will give you an almost free trial period.  (Get AT&T to unlock your phone - AT&T Wireless Consumer Device Unlock Request or your nearest AT&T store - if iPhones are locked, I don't know, I don't use anything Steve Jobs had a hand in) and try TMobile's test drive.  Go to every place you'll be using a cellphone.  If they give you good coverage, you found a carrier.  If not, try Verizon (you may need a new phone, and you may have to pay a few dollars if you decide not to go with them).  In any large city, they usually have the best coverage.  (But, again, they may have one little dead spot, like your house or anywhere near your desk at work even though they cover the rest of the building, so try before committing.)
