Does Your Mp3 Player Shut Off When Charging Completes

Does leaving phone chargers plugged in a car overnight deplete the car's battery?

By “audio jack”, do you mean a device that sends audio to the FM radio in your car?If your car’s cigarette lighter socket stays live even when you shut off your car, then yes, it will draw power from the battery. Even with no phone plugged in, a charger draws a little current. If the “audio jack” is an FM transmitter, then it draws the same current whether there is audio going through it or not. Will it drain your battery? Only if your battery is so close to dead that it might not start the car even if you didn’t leave those things plugged in. Even the FM transmitter should only draw 10 to 30mA and the charger a tenth of that, that is a guess. Your car battery is likely 50Ah or more (don’t confuse amp-hour ratings with CCA aka cold cranking amperage). Most cars shut off the lighter socket when the ignition is off, in which case it doesn’t matter what is plugged into it when the car is off.

How often do you charge your iPod / MP3 player?

Ideally, you should charge any kind of rechargable battery, whether it's for an mp3 player, cell phone, cordless phone, etc. when the power has been FULLY drained, and you should only leave it charging for around the time it takes to fully recharge the battery (so leaving your iPod or mp3 player to charge overnight is not a great idea). It's also not a good idea to partially charge it instead of waiting out the complete recharge, because this also cuts the battery life short if you do it frequently.

The reason is continuous charging strains the power cells in the battery, so by actually overcharging the battery, you end up cutting it's life shorter, and it will need to be replaced much sooner than normal. That's what happened to me with my first mp3 player a few years ago; I charged it whenever I felt like it, and it needed a new $70 battery within 4 months of me getting it (and 90% of the time your manufacturer's warranty DOES NOT cover replacing the battery; you have to pay for that out of your own pocket).

Also, if you have a docking speaker for your iPod or mp3 player, LIMIT IT'S USE, because all docking stations charge your battery during use and the function cannot be turned off. I've seen too many customers come back to Best Buy a few months after they bought their iPods from us because they leave their iPods on the docking stations and blow out the battery in no time.

By being very specific in how and when you recharge your battery will help you get months and months of use out of your iPod or mp3 player.

What would happen in a car if we play music without running the car’s engine?

I happened to experience the situation. It was a hot summer day, I was inside the car in town waiting for someone. To pass the time I turned on the music system, the whole system is integrated into the cabin so god knows what all could have been turned on at the time. I was listening to the music and relaxing, occasionally I would turn the fan on for a min or two when it gets too uncomfortable due to the afternoon heat. This went on for like 45–50 mins. Then it was time for me to go, I started the engine and all I could hear was the relay turning on and off with that iconic clicking sound. I understood I had drained the battery enough. Fortunately I was not alone and it was a manual transmission, I had my friend to push the car for me and it started without any trouble. What happened was that the battery got drained so much that starter motor couldn't pull enough current to crank the engine. For a small sized engine, say less than 2L, the starting current required will be anything between 80–180A. Since the cranking process happens in very little time, the flow of such huge current is never an issue.

Why does the battery on my ipod touch run out so quickly?

It can be for 4 reasons.

1. You are unplugging it from the computer when the battery bar goes to the top, but no, you have to wait almost 5 hours for it to complete charging 100%

2. the brightness bar on your ipod touch settings is too high. Go to Settings > Brightness > Auto-Brightness > ON
put it on ON :)
and lower the top bar, to less than half.

3. Your always connected to Wi-Fi.
When you are not using it turn it off, It hel`ped me a lot.

4. When you are listening to a song, Dont leave the screen on, click the top thing for power.

Hope I Hleped! BYEEE :D
