Dream Middleweight Fight. Jake Lamotta Vs Jack Dillon. Who Wins

Jake LaMotta vs Harry Greb?

Hello Matt! I believe I have asked this question somewhere down the road on this forum before but I've never had a chance to answer it so this should be fun! I do know that it would have been a fun fight to see as Greb is absolutely one of the greatest fighters of all time. I mean you can see pictures of him and can tell he was a fighter by his features and in my opinion there has never been anyone that compares to him as far as his abilty to throw non stop punches round after round and even increasing the volume in the latter rounds. He also had the rare ability to practically contort his body to avoid punches and to throw punches at any angle. They said you didn't fight Greb, you fought to keep him off of you as he never stayed in one place very long. Greb fought and defeated 18 World Champions in the middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight classes and 11 Hall of Famers beating people like Mickey Walker, Gene Tunney, Battling Levinsky, Tiger Flowers, Tomy Loughran, Jack Dillon, Maxie Rosenbloom, James Slattery, Mike McTigue, Kid Norfolk, Tommy and Mike Gibbons, and also defeated heavyweights such as Bill Brennan and Billy Miske and quite easily to boot! Jake LaMotta is well known for perhaps possessing the strongest chin in boxing history and for being the first man to defeat the legendary Sugar Ray Robinson. He was tough and strong and had a very brutal style of fighting with relentless and tireless pressure and a strong will to win. Jake also defeated some really outstanding fighters in his career such as Fritzie Zivic, Marcel Cerdan, Bob Satterfield and Holman Williams. Here is a little rundown of each man's career:

Harry Greb (The Pittsburgh Windmill)

Won: 261
Lost: 18
Draws: 19
1 No Contest

Jake LaMotta (The Bronx Bull)

Won: 83
Lost: 19
Draws: 4

The Fight

This would have been an all out battle with Greb's speed vs the strength of LaMotta. LaMotta would do well in the early going but once Greb got his timing down, the fight would become totally differnet with Greb relentlessly hitting LaMotta from all angles and making LaMotta miss a lot. LaMotta would have some good moments hammering Greb on the ropes but Greb is just too good and too fast for even the Bronx Bull and takes this one going away by a very convincing decision.

Winner Harry Greb UD15
