Fanfiction.net Error Type 2 Document Manager

Uploading on Fanfiction.net (easy ten points)?

I found this temporary solution. It worked perfectly for me:

IV. Solution to uploading problem

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This is not a solution to every uploading problem, just general ones that people seem to come across often. Sometimes the site just bugs up completely and there's nothing anyone can do but wait for them to fix it, but you can report problems to them here: support at fanfiction.com (for some reason I can't post e-mail adds).

The first thing to always do is try and send it as a plain text file...I don't know why, but that does seem so solve a surprising amount of troubles.

Did you click upload and come up with a blank screen? This bug happens pretty frequently, but we've found a way around it. Although, it can only be used if you have at least one chapter previously submitted. If you're submitting your first chapter (i.e. creating your first story), then there's not a lot I can really suggest, other than: wait for the bug to sort itself out. Otherwise:

1. Log in and go to your page.

2. Click "stories".

3. Click on the title of any story you have there, it doesn't matter which one.

4. Click "contents/chapters".

5. On the right, next to each chapter, you'll see the four buttons I've previously mentioned. Click on "exp" next to any chapter. Again, it doesn't matter which one. Now you'll have a document in the document manager. I'll note again that by clicking export a copy of the chapter goes to your document manager. The actual document remains where it is.

6. Click "Documents" on the top left.

7. There should be a copy of the document you exported sitting there. Click the "edit/preview" button.

8. Now you simply highlight all the text and delete it.

9. Open up the new chapter you wish to add in whatever word processor you use, and cut and paste it into the document you have open.

10. Click "Save Changes"! Believe me, you'll kick yourself if you forget.

11. Simply place this document that you've made into whatever story you wish, simply treat it as a normal document in your manager and, if necessary, follow the instructions in previous parts of this guide.

Fanfiction.net Error Type 2? Document Manager?

So I'm trying to upload the first chapter of the very first story I've ever posted on Fanfiction, but I whenever I upload the document to document manager, an error screen pops up stating "Fanfiction.net Error Type 2". How do I fix this? Is this just a temporary thing?

Fanfiction.net error type 2!? ?

I just tryed to go to my fanfiction account and it loaded and this page popped up sayyin error type 2 and email adminstraitor error type or something. i dont know if this has happened to anyone can someone try it on their computer and see if it does the same? (10 points best answer if they know how to fix the problem or have any in-sight!)

Fanfiction.net error?

Like everyone else, I haven't been able to edit anything on ff.net either since Saturday. It's all very frustrating, I know...but in all fairness, even website administrators have to take time off.

They probably were out of office and didn't even notice that people were having problems till today—and then, of course, it takes some time to actually figure out and fix the problem. Just be patient and I'm sure it'll get cleared up today or tomorrow. But if you feel like you have to do something, I suggest you email them like crazy. ;) (Of course, this would be counter-productive if the people who answer the support emails are also the ones who fix the problems, but on a website that large, I very much doubt it.)

Wishing for the best!

EDIT: It seems to be back! ;) And the reason was, as someone else mentioned, because the word "properties" hadn't been changed to "content" in the URL.

How can I fix the "an error has occurred. Please try again later" message I receive when I try to connect to YouTube (process com.google.android.youtube)?

Here are some I came across little Googling,1. Try to get rid of cookies     Here's how to do it, from Google Groups     a. Go to "YOU TUBE" site,      b. Click "TOOLS",      c. Click "DEVELOPER TOOLS",      d. Click "CACHE",      e. Click "CLEAR COOKIES FOR DOMAIN"      f. Click "YES",      g. Close BOTH windows. 2. Give a try with another profile3. Verify if it's an issue with rooted device4. You might need to use good process and cache cleaner software which will remove all junk files in the memory (I use Clean Master on Google play store )Most people on above mentioned forum seem to have solved this issue just by clearing out cookies.Hope this helps!

How do I make a fanfiction on fanfiction.net in iPhone?

I write Fanfiction on my iPhone, so relax :)

First, you should decide where exactly you want to publish your Fanfiction. I suggest Fanfiction.net. It is the biggest archive and I've seen hundreds of great fanfictions out there. You should really check it out.
http://m.fanfiction.net/

Then, make an account.

NOW, here's the tricky (sort of) part.
Usually if you locate Fanfiction net with your iPhone, it will go straight to the mobile version. Don't. Go to the bottom of the page and make it desktop version.

After that, click your account name on the right hand corner and it will send you to your account setting.

Go to Publish and there will be new story and doc manager. You can select new story to introduce your story, e.g summary, genre etc. But eventually you will have to download the chapters to doc manager to actually publish them.

If you go to the doc manager, there will be a copy&paste option. Click that, and write to your heart's content on the box below! When you're done, name it and submit it. Remember, you have to do it one chapter at a time!

One you introduced your story and wrote some chapters, you can go to manage stories and update them.

Once you get used to it, it's fairly simple. Hope I helped!!

Why isn't my story showing up in fanfiction archive?

If you added it a while ago, then check there isn't anything wrong such as it being added to the wrong category. If it was a crossover, it won't show in the main listings- you'd need to look in the crossovers listings. If it was M rated, then it also won't show on the main listings as they only show up to T. If it is M rated, change the rating selection at the top an your story should show.

If there isn't anything like this which prevents it showing up where it should, I would delete it and re-submit it. It could just be a glitch in the system.
