For Those Of You That Have Seen The Found Footage Film Unaware Do You Have Any Idea What The After

How do you define awareness?

Wow, that is a tough one to answer. If you strip away all learned behavior, awareness is both what we are & our function. Yet, most will get themselves confused with what they are aware of & with their conditioned programing. A child at birth is in many ways a blank page, pure awareness without judgement or programming, yet just after that birth we begin immediately to "teach" that child how to respond to what he/she is aware of. This is as close as I can get. Blessings.

John McCain started the Forrestal Fire? ?

I'm not a supporter of John McCain the politician, but the Forrestal incident clearly --after repeated viewings of archival film footage-- was started by a missile that was "touched off" across the deck from a bunch of flight-ready-and-armed planes, including McCain's.

Keep in mind: planes that are loaded with bombs do NOT land back on a carrier with those bombs; if they fail to deliver them to their designated target or secondary target, they are given a specific area into which they can drop their "unexpended ordnance." (In fact, that is what happened to Glenn Miller's plane in WW2: hit by unexpended bombs as his plane through the 'dump' zone in the English Channel.) So this incident happened when planes were being readied to take off on missions, rather than planes having returned, loaded, with ordnance... that doesn't happen.

The problem with missiles is that they are ignited by electrical impulse; the switch in the cockpit to launch a missile is what's called a "guarded" switch: you have to flip up a spring-loaded cover and THEN hit the switch: if the pilot was "startled" by a supposed 'wet start' by McCain, what was his finger doing on the trigger of a launchable Zuni? More likely it occured during the loading process by an ordnance-handler: if missiles are accidentally electrically-grounded or otherwise activated, and the carrier deck is loaded with armed planes, it's a recipe for disaster. You can rest assured that the Navy changed their procedures in the wake of that tragedy. But McCain didn't cause it. I don't like him or trust him as a politician, but I respect his Vietnam service and time in captivity. That won't get me to vote for him, but I won't dishonor him by repeating an untruth. Neither should you.

BTW: #1: I'm always wary when sites feel it necessary to dredge up "Zionist-Communist" tie-ins for almost everything that happens in life: it's simplistic, if not inaccurate and overly conspiracy-centric. #2: I was an Avionics Tech in the Army and am now an A&P mechanic, somewhat familiar with the caution needed when dealing with hard-wired components and activated circuits. circuit breakers 'On' when they should be 'Off,' etc.. Which made me ask: why was the pilot's finger on the pickle-switch? Not likely, hence my guesstimate that wires touched during loading and the missile was activated. But perhaps we'll never know.

I'm writing a paper on horror films...?

Olivia, horror is a vast field. I've done what you are attempting to do and believe me, it is a vast genre. There are many sub-genre's of horror also. I picked a sub-genre and recalled the evolution of that genre. I took the slasher genre and told how it was started by 'Psycho' and then expanded on by 1974's 'Black Christmas' and then how 1978's 'Halloween' exploded the genre into mainstream horror in the early 80's. I recounted major directors like Craven, Hooper, Carpenter, major films like 'Nightmare on Elm Street' and 'Friday the 13th'. But also lesser known films like "The Prowler' and 'Maniac', films that created a backlash like 'Silent Night/Deadly Night' and concluded with the influence of today's modern self-aware slasher film.

What I would do now if I were to do a essay on the horror film, I would pick the genre of found footage films like the 'Paranormal Activity' films and 'Apollo 18' and recount it's modern day history to the 'Blair Witch Project' in 1999 and the minor controversy it got with another lesser known found footage film called 'The Last Broadcast' that was made a few years earlier but was released after BWP .
But then I would go back and tell the influence of how found footage films got it's start with 1980's 'Cannibal Holocaust'. Banned in 80 countries for it's extreme brutality. The Italian director was actually about to be tried for murder until he produced the actors to the court!! Can you imagine the publicity if that happened today?

But there's all sorts of horror you can pick from. Torture porn, haunted house, classic Universal horror (Wolf man, Dracula, Frankenstein).

There's British horror industry you can research, especially Hammer House and Amicus Productions.

You can essay Italian horror films, made by Argento and Fulci. Called Italian giallo's or Spaghetti Horror.

You can recount the influence of Asian horror in today's modern cinema. Any one of these topics should contain enough background info to make a thorough essay.

Hope these suggestions helps. Good luck!
