"Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped" pop up on my Anroid 4.2.2?

Its getting REALLY ANNOYING. I'll get that pop up as well as Unfortunately com.Google.process.location has stopped as well as com.Google.process.gapps has stopped.
I went to settings > apps > all > reset app preferences and that did nothing.
I went to settings > apps > all > download manager and disabled it, then enabled then rebooted. And that did nothing.
I went back and deleted recently installed apps like Snapchat and Instagram, then redownloaded them and rebooted. Nothing!
I don't want to disable or uninstall Google Play updates or Google Play Services because it says that all data will be deleted!! What does that mean? All my app data for every app that isnt Google as well will be deleted as well???
Please help this is so annoying.
P.S. if you suggest a remedy please only suggest ones that have worked for you or other people cuz my dad believes that I already broke this thing once so he doesn't exactly trust me fixing this thing...

Is it safe to clear the data of Google Play services?

Google Play services offers APIs to other apps. Data used by Play services is mostly cached data for these APIs, duplicated data of Android wear apps synched with your phone and some kind of search index. If you delete this data, chances are Google Play services will just recreate it. But you won't delete any of your personal data by deleting Play services data.

Google Play Services takes up too much space (161 MB). What do I do?

Most Google apps have a single button in settings to clear your data or cache. However, Play Services deals with data from many apps. You may not have noticed, but you can actually manage stored data with much finer controls from Play Services. To access the stored data, you'll head to the same place you normally find stored data for other apps. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services.Typically, you'd find a button here marked "Clear data." For Play Services, though, you'll see a button that says"Manage Space." Tap this button. The menu you see will have options to manage or clear a variety of data. You can tap "Manage search data" to see which apps have stored search data, and clear them all at once if you wish (itdoesn't seem possible to clear search data on a per-app basis just yet). There are also buttons to clear data from apps using Drive storage, or other Play Services. If you have an Android Wear device, you can also clear data related to mirroring information to your wearable. It may not be useful for everyone, but if you're trying to scrape together some extra space, it's a nice extra option to explore.

Can clearing the memory on storage, and cache on Google Play Services, Google Play Store, Google Play Services For Instant Apps, and Google Play Games, will it delete your saved game progress on your current app game?

Cache, like time, is fleetingAs another answered, it can depend upon the specific game.A developer codes what is stored in data or cache. Although, from an engineering colleague who games, typically gaming cache is used for very temporary files such as thumbnails, game times and other insignificant data.Apparently many/most games will store game progress within the "cloud", so clearing local cache shouldn't interrupt a current game session progress.Obviously, clearing an APK's local data will reset the game to its original (first) install state. Then again, according to the engineer gamer, your online gaming account may have that data stored as well, but only at the point where it was last saved to the cloud.Cache, like time, is fleeting and only when you're in the moment can you ascertain the current situation. (IOW, try it and see)I'd perform a "test" game session with your installed Android games to see which, if any, are affected by a cache clearing. The extent of my gaming* is the billiards table in our basement theater along with the old style pinball machine that I can push, shove and shake just to get the pinball to bang around the table more.Hope that helps.*not to mention my bride's affinity for cosplay gaming

What data (music) can be deleted without deletinf the actual songs?

If it matters, I have a Galaxy S4 Mini. I'm looking to clear up data from my music (I have over 2,000 songs and 7+ GB is taken up by music files in various places of the storage). Please don't say I should get an SD card...I am, I just want to clear up data anyway. So, in my storage, under Miscellaneous Files, there is my 'My Mixtapez' app, which mist my music is downloaded from. It takes up about 4.50 GB in there. Then when I go into tge Media in my storage, all my songs come up in alphabetical order in the "Sound Picker' app ( pre-installed on the phone) and these take up about 450mb. Then when I got 'Applications' in the storage and go to the 'My Mixtapez ' app, it takes up about 44mb, and the data itself inside the app takes up about 33mb. I'm just wondering what I am able to delete without deleting the songs themselves off my phone/'Music' app?
