Has Anyone Dressed Up As The Phantom Of The Opera On Halloween Before

What year is the phantom of the opera set?

The movie? First it is set in 1925, where it is black and white. Then when the chandileir rises we go back in time to 1870 where the main plotline exists. It seems to strech into 1871 as well because they hold a new year masquerade ball.. Also, using this information and the info on Christine's grave, which they show for just a moment, you find that Christine was 16 in the movie and died at 63. I thought that was interesting, even though off-topic from your question.... :D CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SURRENDER TO YOUR DARKEST DREAMS....listening to Phantom music right now.

Phantom Ghost? Halloween?

I found this web site Phantom Ghost Letter Surprise it explains how to make a simple halloween treat for someone special. A nice Halloween surprise!
http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/halloween/l/blhalphantlet.htm
I copied and pasted the letter and changed the font to a halloween font.
I found Halloween fonts to use at http://www.acidfonts.com/halloweenfonts1.htm

The Phantom Ghost has come to town,
To leave you some goodies, I see you have found.
If you do not wish a curse to fall,
Continue this greeting, this Phantom's call.
First, post this Phantom where it can be seen,
And leave it there until Halloween.
This will scare other Phantoms who may visit.
Be sure to participate, you don't want to miss it!
Second, make two treats & two copies of this Ghost with a grin
Deliver them to two neighbors where this Phantom hasn't been
Don't let them see you, be sneaky, no doubt …
And make sure they put their Phantom Ghost out!
Next, you have only one day to act, so be quick!
Leave it at doors where the Phantom hasn't hit.
Deliver at dark when there isn't much light...
Ring the doorbell and run, and stay out of sight!!
And last, but not least, come join in the season.
Don't worry, be happy, you need no good reason.
This is all in good fun and we are just trying to say...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

What does the Phantom of the Opera look like with no mask?

Who was that shape in the shadows?Whose is the face in the mask?Alright, let’s begin with Gaston Leroux’s novel before we move on to other adaptations and characterizations [of Erik] through the years. In Leroux’s novel, Erik (without his mask) is referred to as having a ‘death’s head’ or the human skull; he (1) has no nose (2) has sunken eyes(3) sports skull-like eye sockets and while there’s no detailed description of his lips, Christine describes him as (4)‘lip less’—in short he’s basically corpse-like. Because of these deformities he earned the moniker 'le mort vivant' or ‘the living dead’. That’s what he practically is, the living dead. The closest Phantom/Erik to the novel (appearance-wise) has to be Lon Chaney Sr.’s 1925 The Phantom… silent film characterization. The 1943 version of Phantom… with Claude Rains (as Erique) only sports something that looks like a half-burnt face, straying away from the ‘corpse-like’ feature that Lon Chaney had in 1925.And then the stage musical version. While Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Erik has the death’s head essence to it, the prosthetic (not looking at the exposed brain) looks way too over the top but that’s just me, I guess, everyone seems to love it.He might still be in the stage of decomposition. Duh.Kidding, of course. The 2004 film version of the ALW adaptation did not, however remain faithful to its origins; much like the 1943 film, Erik only sports a half-badly burnt face.So that’s how Erik (a total of 9 Eriks on film/TV, 4 on stage**) looks like without his mask.**There are only 4 adaptations of The Phantom of the Opera in theater (including the Lloyd Webber musical); however 29+ actors have played Erik in the Andrew Lloyd Webber version.Photo credit: The Phantom of the Opera, 1925/Universal Pictures, Phantom of the Opera, 1943/Universal Pictures, The Phantom of the Opera 2004/Warner Bros., Odyssey Entertainment, Really Useful Films, Scion Films, The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, 2011/The Really Useful Theater Company, Steam Motion and Sound

What type of wig does Gerard Butler wear in the phantom of the opera?

gerard butler wears a black wig in phantom of the opera for most of the movie, until Christine pulls it off in Don Juan, and then which he wears a diffrent wig. My question is, does anyone know what kind of wig he is wearing, and where it can be bought or made? (I am talking about the first wig, and obviously if it has to be made, it is not going to be for this halloween.) I already checked a wig shop, and they had nothing even similar. Any advice will be helpfull.

What kind of pipe organ is used for Phantom Of The Opera?

The three main types of pipe organs are Church, Symphonic, and Theater. There are digital versions of all (some more successful than others.)

... If you're asking about the Broadway Musical, no organ is used at all. It's a synthesizer.

Does anyone know where I can buy a Christine Daae Halloween costume (from The Phantom of the Opera)?

You should go to treasuresonearth.com or go to their Ebay Store that's where I had my Christine Point of No Return costume made .
It's really good quality and I have gotten a thousand compliments when I wear it.
They also own a few of the originals from the movie so they know exactly what they are supposed to look like.

How to look like Christine Daae from The Phantom of the Opera?

I would really, really appreciate detailed answers, but if it isn't possible, any answer would be very helpful.

I would like to look like a modern (or not so modern is fine!) version of Christine Daae from the movie "The Phantom of the Opera". Any kind of answer would be a huge help.

Information on the way I already look:
Light skin tone
Blush constantly
Have a slight sunburn on my face, though it should be gone in a day or so (Sunburn remedies, anyone?)
Tall
Thin
Round or heart-shaped face
Slightly chubby cheeks, but just enough to round my face
Kind of angry eyebrows, haha
And dark chocolate brown, wavy hair

Nothing too permanent, please.

(And please, no one tell me not to change who I am because that isn't what I'm doing at all.)

In the Phantom of the opera, what was the point of Raoul's costume from the masquerade scene?

Raoul is dressed as a Hussar (Hungarian cavalry, 14th century) soldier. The gold braid detailing on the breast of a Hussar soldier's jacket acts as a sort of armor against blows. As for the second loose coat, it was simply a part of the traditional uniform. This is a nod to the 1925 film in which Raoul wore a similar costume. In the book by Gaston Leroux, Raoul is said to be a Navy man awaiting an expedition to the Arctic Circle.

Is hanging a noose on a porch as a Halloween decoration offensive?

In particular I am interested to hear from African Americans. The backstory on this is a family member and her friends, all in their late 20s took huge offense to a neighbor decorating his porch with pumpkins and a noose. They later found out he intended to hang a witch and continue the decorating process, but because the noose was alone for a week, my family member and her friends took GREAT offense and then, took it upon themselves to enter the property, remove the noose and notify the landlord. This was in Columbus OH. During the week, there must have been other complaints and police knocked on her door asking what she might know about the decoration, that by that time had been rehung. The family member met with the tenants of the house, asked permission to remove the noose a second time, got permission, removed and untied the rope, leaving it there on the porch which is adjoined to her dwelling.Text messages with her landlord showed he had no hatred or ill intent. It was just a Halloween decoration which he was continuing to build. Meanwhile, my family member posted on facebook and her friends went wild with outrage. They would not hear anything but that a noose is representative of HATRED and a symbol of the historic lynching of black people. I am old enough to have lived through the 60s when civil rights were being fought for so I advised that a burning cross was a more apt historic symbol and a Halloween decoration that included a noose was not symbolism against a group and she should not enter the property or remove the decorations no matter how intensely they all built themselves up to feel.Since when is a noose a symbol of slavery and lynching? I said it was more generally suicide that it represented and all the anger suddenly got pointed at me. So, please educate me about the noose and what it represents to you.Thanks.
