Hired for job without interview?
Hello. I have been getting emailed from a recruiter at "ranstad staffing". She told me I would be a good fit for a position and would send on my resume. Well, now I've been emailed and called that I got the job based on my resumen. Is it possible to be hired without interview or is this just a scam?
Are there any jobs that don't interview you before they hire you?
Very few jobs will hire someone without an interview, but I guess it happens rarely - I remember someone posted a question here a while ago and they had apparently been hired for a real job without an interview. But if you see any jobs online that are advertised as not requiring an interview, stay away, since they are almost all scams - especially if they ask for all your personal info and/or want you to pay to apply. Instead of only looking for jobs without interviews, maybe you should practice interviewing - apply for jobs that you don't care about just to get interviewed, and maybe even practice with a friend and pretend to get interviewed. I know it might sound dumb, but the practicing will help you get better at being interviewed when the "real thing" comes along.
Can you get a job offer based on a phone interview?
It is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that any legitimate, profitable company would hire anyone based on a telephone interview. Usually a telephone interview is used simply to filter out qualified candidates from the truly unprepared/unqualified ones. If you "ace" a telephone interview, that SHOULD get you an invitation to an in-person interview. A personal, in-person interview tells employers so much about a person that can't be learned over the phone (personal grooming habits, dress habits, cleanliness, etc.) that I would be highly suspicious of any company that offered someone a job without ever meeting them in person.
