Healthy Food Ideas For My Son

What are some healthy food ideas for kids, that can be prepared in a creative way?

Hello,Glad to hear such an important question. I have realized the taste buds of a human being are built during formative years. During this time, the value of food is taught and the kid build this unconsciously. Hence, it is our duty to feed them right food, for them to realize its importance, once they grow up.The right food & right portion size, eaten at defined intervals really help in long run.We grown ups need to be bit responsible about we are feeding the kids. Healthy food is important from the go. Once in a while indulgence works, However, it needs to be monitored.Just for example, this interesting food item, which is replacement of McD’s pizza puff & has been made at home. The same has been made in air fryer & not deep fried. The taste has been retained keeping the calorie intake to the minimum. These recipes are not difficult to make, just that they require one time investment in ourselves. Where we need to change our habits, we need to closely monitor what we are feeding & intaking.Check out some more delicious, healthy recipes for your kids on Healthy Kadai

Healthy Meal ideas for Toddlers?

Everyone deserves to get to eat their favorite foods once in a while, but there is no reason on Earth that kids should expect to eat "kids' foods." Gross.

Your child should eat what you eat. And the more flavors and textures you expose her to now, the less picky of an eater she'll be later.

Quesadillas are fast, kids usually like them, and you can use up all your leftovers making them. My kids love dahl and curry. Or tacos/enchiladas. They also love corkscrew pasta dressed with brocolli, little bits of chicken, grated parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, and salt and pepper. Thick soups are messy, but tasty and toddlers like the challenge. Especially if they get to dip bread into it. Chili is good, especially if you serve it over tiny pasta shells. You can make pita pizzas or pizza using a Boboli crust, and your toddler can help top it. Shish kebob and couscous are always a hit at our house. And tilapia (white fish) topped with zucchini, onions, and dill, and served with risotto and green veggies...

None of those meals take a lot of time if you keep the ingredients around the house. My husband does our cooking. He doesn't start until 5:30 or 5:45, and our kids are always eating between 6 and 6:30. Or you can spend one afternoon a week making a big caserole, stew, or pot of soup, and then you can use the leftovers all week.

Basically, if you like it, serve it. Include your child, to the extent possible, in the preparation. And then expect her to eat. She doesn't have to clear her plate; she just has to try everything that's on it. And she may surprise you. If she turns up her nose, that's OK. No child has ever starved herself to death. Don't fix her anything as a substitute. Just offer something different next time. And keep your expectations high.

The payoff will be a healthier, more pleasant child who you can take to eat anywhere.

What should i feed my 1 year old? HEALTHY FOODS!!!?

I have a 13 month old and she is still eating the same things she was at 10 month. I am looking for ideas of healthy GROWN UP meals to give her. I try to stick to everything healthy and organic so i am shocked to read that people are feeding their kids hotdogs and canned tuna!!!

She has 6 teeth and loves to chew on Cheerios but swallows most other foods without chewing them.
I will really appreciate specifics, and also saying GIVE HER WHATEVER U EAT doesnt really help b.c i dont really cook, mostly order out and i am not giving my baby any salt/sugar or other stuff found in takeout. I also am NOT a fan on GERBER canned foogs or meals, i prepare everything myself to avoid preservatives and sugars.

Also, if you can suggest what i can prepare for 2-3 days in advance that would also be helpful b.c i will have another baby in 2 month and cooking everyday just wont be possible for me!

thank you very much, here is a sample of my baby's diet:
11am- baby cereal with 4-5oz of milk followed by a small jar of fruit ( i make the fruit in Beaba still, and i give her a small jar b.c she gets hichups if i give her more)
2pm - soup chicken or turkey and little pieces of bread
3pm - 4-5 oz of milk
6pm - baby yogurt
8-9pm baby cereal with 4-5 oz of milk sometimes followed by banana
11pm 4-5 oz of milk
if she wakes up at night after 4am i give her more milk

thanks again!

Cheap, HEALTHY grocery list for a month?

I need ideas/recipes for healthy meals for the month for 3 people. I pack lunches as well for my fiance (he's picky on things like mayo/sour cream things like that he does not like) so variation is nice. We have an 18 month old son so some ideas for him would be nice since I don't always eat lunch when my son does or snack when he does. I am trying to lose weight and my fiance just wants to be healthier all around. Even a grocery list for the month would be good if you can do that :) We do drink/use a lot of milk. My son is a total milk junky. At least that is healthier than drinking juice all the time. Also, need some drink ideas so we can have a larger variety of drinks as well to hopefully avoid drinking soda

What are the healthy snacks I can give my toddler?

With 2 myself these are some of the healthy snacks I have learned to offer mine since they like to snack all dayDon’t even know when lunch & dinner is anymore. Snackin is the new thing! You have to be super creative, drawing faces & in my case beautiful things for the girls to love & eat !Apples & yogurt (they dip themselves)Fruit, Fruit Fruit!Crackers & cheeseCarrots with ranch (can make your homemade ranch)Boil eggs & nutsToast with PBAnts on a log(celery sticks,PB & raisins)Cereal BarsSliced apples with PB spread & raisinsYogurt bites(freeze yogurt with fruit in cupcake liners)Frozen grapesOatmeal cookies(homemade)Blueberries on a stick dipped in yogurt then freezeCrackers ham & cheese (you can use sliced cucumbers instead of the crackers)Popcorn( mine just love popcorn. The lil one had a challenge with it at first cause she would almost choke on it so I gave her gold fishes instead)Vegetable & fruit smoothie (I call it the super girl power juice)Make your own applesauce – I bought some reusable pouches(little green pouch) from Amazon & blended up some fruit & vegetable(less liquidy). These worked great because I made them every 2-3 days & had them in the fridge. Great to go snacks! There is so many ideas! I recommend Pinterest for more ideas. Its hard to get them on something that won’t bore kids…something different every day & Pinterest has helped me lots to gain all these crazy ideas. I am a mommy who is always out & about so some of these we take on our trips. I don’t leave the house without a snack. Hope some of these help! :)
