How to gain muscle/weight not fat weight [[for a skinny guy]]?

I would recommend u to do push around 100 times a day (20 at one time).12 pull up a day.Make sure u did it constantly.within 1 month,u would find that u have more strength.Eat foods that are rich in protein such as fish, chicken and etc. Drink milk so that u will grow because it is no use if u have great body but ur height is short.Dont carry weight coz it can affect ur height as u are still young.Trust me.If possible do a lot of swimming as it will help to build the structure of ur body and stretch ur body.If u still want to carry weight, just carry small weight to tone the muscle.

How to gain muscle? Im skinny.?

14. People call me skinny, and honestly, it's what I am, but there's one thing most of us skinnies don't get. While we may not have very much body fat (5%, me and a friend of mine laughed hysterically when we saw it), we still have a decent amount of muscle. A lot of other people look like they're built, but truth is, they have a lot of fat in their arms. I talked to a coach about this.

Work out with weights, swimming, and erging. Endurance, and strength will come naturally with these exercises. And lemme guess, you're faster than most of the people at school? Yeah, we're built for speed.

After a year of doing a ridiculous amount of exercise (sports year round are a must), I could definitely hold my own against someone 30 pounds heavier.

I am a very skinny veggie guy and I want to gain muscle, what should I do?

OK, I see a few things happening here, and from my own experience I believe I can recommend what may work for you.0. Don't worry about your diet just yet.  That is, don't worry about being vegetarian in and of itself.  Do worry that you're eating enough.1. Your motivation needs to improve.  Don't think or anticipate your workouts, just schedule them at the same time every day and just do it.  I run at 5am every morning.  It may sound contradictory, but I don't consider myself a natural morning person or someone who is that disciplined.  But after a week or so of doing it, it has no longer been a chore, rather it's just something I do.2. You need to be consistent and give yourself time to see results.  This applies to muscle building and #1, and also in my experience, this'll help with your depression.3. Start a basic weightlifting routine.  3 days per week.  Log your workouts.  Don't skip one #&%! workout and give this 6 weeks before even thinking about giving up.Back to diet.  A bit about my experiences over the years.  I'm 6'1" and until I was 28 yo I was 155lbs.  Pretty skinny.  In the past I've been very into weight lifting and got to 220lbs.  I'm now 185lbs.  I've experimented quite a bit with diet.  I went fully vegan this summer for 4 months.  During that time I lost fat weight and gained considerable strength.  Something people often say isn't possible.  My most notable gains were with pullups.  Pullups are hard, and the fact that while on a vegan diet I continually increased the number of pullups I could do (included weighted pullups with a 25lbs dumbbell in my backpack) tells me that using supplements and eating 200g of protein may not be all they're cracked up to be.  And when I was up to 220lbs (muscle not fat)  I didn't have a high calorie diet.  I had 1/2 cup of nuts, a banana and a glass of milk for breakfast.  And I had grilled chicken and vegetables for lunch and dinner.  No protein shakes, etc.Go for it.

How long will it take for a skinny person to become muscular?

Boring fact: Putting on quality mass, with majority of it being muscle, will take quite some time.I was in your shoes before, being naturally skinny. If you were not working out before, you will see good results in the first few months but as time passes your gains will slow down. This is the time when most people get depressed and start thinking of shortcuts or dropping everything. The thing is, there are no shortcuts. Only persistency will make you achieve the body you desire to have.To maintain a muscular body as a naturally skinny guy, working out and eating well will need to become part of your lifestyle. How to do it?Training wise, pick a regimen (anything) and maintain it for a few months. It can be literally any weight training style (German Volume Training, Push-Pull split, One body part per workout..). Find a split/style that fits you after trying out different ones.Nutrition wise, same rules are valid. First, remove or minimalize industrialized food products and other unhealthy foods. Once you do that, pick any diet and follow it for a few months. You can try Zone Diet, Cyclical Ketogenic Diet, Slow Carb Diet, or any othet diet. After trying for a few months, stick to the one you like or customize it to your preference.Perhaps most importantly, larn to listen to your body, and understand what works for you and what doesn’t, both when it comes to training and diet. Do not rush with it though. Trying a regimen for a week and drawing conclusions won’t work.Lastly, good luck and remember to enjoy testing out different things and seeing your body change to the better.

--Help on Gaining Muscle Mass And Weight--?

Hello, I am a 17 year old guy. I'm 6' 3'' and only 160 pounds, so I am looking to gain some weight and muscle as well.

Last year, I was a skinny stick and believe it or not I was around 135. Since then, I've started taking weight training in my school and working out at home. I have seen a big difference in how my body looks since then: my arms are bigger, chest more robust, etc, but not by much.

So I have a few questions:

What should my diet be so I can gain some weight and muscle? How often should I eat? I'd like to push 185+ lbs. Should I take protein drinks and supplements as well? How much milk and water should I be drinking and what kind of milk is best? My workout is around 40 mins 5 days a week, and I rarely, if ever, do cardio.

If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it. This is something I am content on changing myself for.

I am a skinny guy....Will Creatine Help Me Bulk Up?

If you aren't gaining weight, it isn't because of a lack of creatine. Taking creatine is not going to make an ineffective training program WORK, no matter what the muscle magazines tell you. And furthermore, you shouldn't be looking for supplements to make an ineffective training program work. You should be, instead, training correctly and eating correctly to gain mass.

And, by the way, before you decide to take creatine or any other supposed "muscle-building" substance, you should do some research on what creatine actually is and does. Here's some information to get you started -- I recommend you investigate it further before you start injesting it. Creatine is nitrogenous organic acid that naturally occurs in vertebrates and helps to supply energy to muscle and nerve cells. The body relies on creatine -- vis a vis the ATP-CP energy system -- to fuel the first 20 seconds or so of intense exercise. After that, it goes to your lactic acid system for energy.

Creatine, thus, is already in the body in sufficient amounts. Adding creatine to your diet will not change the fact that the body will stop using creatine after 20 seconds or so. What WILL it do? Add 1 rep to a hard set -- maybe.

Will it make you gain weight? Yes, if you could getting bloated with water gaining weight. Excess creatine draws water into the muscles, making them look artificially full-looking (i.e., they will look puffy but not solid). Of course, you will need to drink more water so you will not get dehydrated. A LOT OF WATER.

In case you're still interested in creatine, keep in mind that excess creatine puts stress on the kidneys and liver. It also has been known to cause muscle cramps. Need I continue?

My recommendation as a personal trainer and natural bodybuilder of 20 years. Don't use creatine when it's not creatine that you need -- if you want to gain mass, buckle down in the gym and earn it by training hard but infrequently. If you're not gaining muscle from training, the reasons are: you are not training correctly and/or you aren't eating enough good food to support your training. PERIOD.

I want large muscle, not skinny muscle.?

I would class myself as skinny/athletic build with muscle. However i would like larger arms, i find the more i do the weights i just gain muscle on the biceps and my muscles don't get wider.. my arms stays skinny and muscly.

I was wondering how i could get more fat on my arms so when i build muscle it would take the shape of the arm and expand. Is that possible? are there any other methods of gaining muscle on my arms so they have a larger mass?

How to gain muscle at 15 years old?

Hello, I am a 15 year old boy and I'm looking to put on a lot of muscle (10-15 pounds would be nice). I have avoided all carbs but fruits and veggies and that caused me to lose 45 pounds of fat, but now I want to put weight back on in muscle. I eat a lot of protein (120+ grams a day) and I'm starting now to eat whole wheat carbs (whole wheat breads, brown rice, wheat tortillas, wheat noodles, etc) but I am wondering how I can put on the most muscle the fastest. I workout every day and swap muscle groups every 3 days. I eat 52 grams of Whey Protein and 25 or so grams of oatmeal after every workout. I need all the help I can get, I need diet plans, what and when to eat, and how much i need to eat. I DON"T want to put on ANY fat as I am very sensitive about my weight. I have also started taking 2g of creatine, should I begin taking more? Thanks for all the help! Oh and I'm 5 foot 8 inches and only 106 pounds :(.
