Honda Accord 2008 Burning Oil

What kind of motor oil is best for a 1992 Honda Accord?

This car has apx. 230K miles on it. It has the 2.2L 4 cylinder engine.

I live in Georgia. It is a mild climate here. The winters aren't as harsh here as they are up in northern states, but it can get fairly cold here, too.

I added a quart of 10W30 the other day. I noticed that the engine sounded kind of...dry. The oil light didn't come on, but I heard a little bit of slightly metallic "pinging"...like the valves or something. I checked the oil level, and it was very low. I added the oil, and the car is running fine now.

What is the best motor oil for this car?

Honda Accord 2008 White Smoke from exhaust?

JUST bought a 2008 Honda Accord in September (When its was still HOT)
Almost right away when I bought it (14 miles) brand new car I noticed a White smoke coming out from exhaust. Since it was new I tought it was going to go away but its not. I know its getting cold and white smoke comes out, usually in the morning, BUT this has been going on when the temp. was still in the 100's.

No matter what time I turn the car on the white smoke is shown.

I've taken the car to the dealership but they keep on saying their is nothing wrong with the car.

Their is no smell, and no black smoke. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes it happens everytime I turn the car on and other times it doesn't happend at all (keep in mind this is going on while the temp was hot).

Does anyone know what is wrong with the car? Has anyone heard of something similar happening to a Honda?

I have a 98 ford mustang with a v6 3.8l and and burning oil really fast?

Honda Civic engine Burns oil and smokes?

I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX with 280,000 miles on the vehicle. I've had a regular oil change, and serviced the vehicle accordingly. But it started burning oil and giving off burning smell. I do understand that the vehicle has lived its life. But I can't help but wonder if there's anything I can do to make the vehicle last longer without having to spend huge amount of money on engine work?

Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal?

Certainly can be normal for a Hyundai 4 banger with 158,000 miles. Oil is cheap, check and add when necessary. If it gets down to every 500 miles or so you may start to notice a reduction in performance and it's time for a new car or an engine rebuild.

Accord V6 vs 350z?

It depends on the year of 350z. The 2003-2006 350z would lose against the Accord V6 because the 03-06 350z goes from 0-60 0.1 seconds quicker than the Accord and the Cold Air Intake and exhaust will take care of that.

The newer 07-08 350z accelerates to 60mph 0.4 seconds quicker than a stock Accord V6. So the winner of that race depends on the driver.
It would be a very close race.

1992 honda accord lx( gray / white smoke coming out exhaust)?

how much white smoke ??
If the answer is LOTS, then check your oil with the dipstick.
If it's a milky color, instead of normal brown/black then you get a blown head gasket.
