I just found out that I have a 17 year old son.?
Ok this is going to be long, but please read and give me an answer. Ok so I am 39, for the past 18 years I have been seing my gf in an on and off relationship. During this time period I wanted to marry her and start a family, but she always found an excuse. Very recently I found out that she has been married for 20 years. She thought that my son was her husbands son. Guys please don't judge, she had no other choice but to stay with him because if my son was his and she left him, she would be left on her own (she married him to get a university school scholarship) so she had no one here. Know that she knows her child his mine she as broken up with him. He was not a very good person (obviously why she cheated) he was self centred, stubborn, selfish etc. We have gotten back together. I am a chiropractor and I often travel to give lectures and do lessions and tudoring, but I am ready to give that up for my son. Thankfully my son did not have a close or loving bond with the man who he thought to be his father, so hopefully he can attach and bond easier to me. He is a little shy, very warm hearted, people friendly and intelligent (from what my gf has told me) My question is how to I go about doing this, I have no experience in parenting or anything. You may say he is 17 and I should put a lot of effort in, but my gf has told me he needs a father figure badly and some positive influences/guidance. (I am meeting him for the first time next week)
How to warm up lotion so its not cold on the skin?
I have a 12 year old son, he gets extremely dry skin in the winter season, after his bath and he dries off, I use a good moisturizing lotion on him. But as soon as it touches his skin, he jumps up and starts shivering and says its so cold. I don't have a lotion warmer, is there anything else I could do to make it warmer so his skin can tolerate it? Thanks
