How long will it take until I receive my payment on my EDD unemployment debit card?

When you the post office picks up a claim form on Monday and you receive a check on Saturday, that means that the mail takes two days in each direction, and that EDD received claim form on Wednesday and mailed the check on Thursday.

With the debit card, you eliminate the two days from Thursday to Saturday needed for the post office to deliver the check after EDD sends it. The money should be on the debit card by midnight Thursday night, so you will have it first thing Friday morning. This is not guaranteed.

If you want to get the money faster, do not mail the claim forms. If you use webcert or telecert, you can submit the claim on Sunday, using your computer or phone, and EDD will have it first thing Monday morning, two days sooner than the post office delivers the paper claim form, and you will save postage.

Why Indirect Tax paid by individuals couldn't be claimed for exemption under Income Tax Law?

Income tax is direct tax and that is levied on the pure income of the individual or hug or company whatever the entity is.But indirect taxes are levied on the cost of the goods or services and are recovered from the consumer or customer of the goods or services, hence these taxed are not levied on the income of the individual or huf or company. Now, a person can only claim the amount which he/she had paid to the govt, but actually these taxes are not paid by them so they can't claim .

Does nonemployee compensation include direct tuition payments?

According to the IRS publication for Box 7 of 1099-MISC: the four general conditions for nonemployee compensation all include getting payments. However, the company paid my college tuition directly; I never received any money. So this isn't tuition reimbursement; they just paid for me. But: on the 1099-MISC they sent me, they included the tuition payment as nonemployee compensation. As I understand the IRS publication, that is not correct. But I wasn't sure if "payment" somehow included this method of paying *for* someone's tuition, even if they don't receive the money. Does it? Or does nonemployee compensation only include actual cash I receive?

The reason I ask is because, since I did not pay tuition myself, I cannot claim a deduction from paying tuition; yet since my tuition counts as nonemployee compensation, according to my future employer, I am taxed on it. So I have a huge amount of money i'm being taxed on which I never even got.

I deeply appreciate any help y'all can give me on this.
