How Do I Know My Prescription For Circle Lenses

If my prescription is for the diameter 14.2 can I use lenses with other diameters?

You put way too much importance on that diameter.

The Dr. didn't choose a specific diameter , it just happens to be the diameter of the brand that was prescribed and happens to be a good fit on you....in THAT brand.

The diameter is only a small part of what makes lenses fit or not.

Changing brands means all the measurements could change also. No one can tell you if a different brand of lens will fit until it has been tried on and seen on your eyes.

In one brand, an 8.7 base curve and 14.4 diameter could fit right, but in another brand it may be an 8.6 , 14.0 that fits the best.

You misread something also , there is no way any color lenses are $45.00 a month anywhere.

Eye prescription (contact lenses) not in the list?

I want to buy my first pair of contact lenses of color. But the prescription I need for my left eye (they're both different btw) is hard to find (-5.25).
I know I can buy other contacts that has it in the list, but I'm done with my searching and I can't find pretty ones. Can I use -5.50 instead? I need the contacts for a Con so I might be wearing them for atleast 8 hours, is that bad?

Prescription toric circle contact lens?

I order mine at www.pinkyparadise.com. I've watched the reviews on youtube and they seem to be fine from my experience. I think what it means is your left eye is -4.50 and your right eye is -5.00 so that's what you should select on the selection. But not sure about astigmitism....you can create an account first and ask questions before you purchase them. good luck!

Can i wear contact lens that is near my prescription?

My glasses prescription is 6.25 and 6.75
I want to order a pair of circle lens and some people tell me that contact lens prescription is different from the glasses prescription .
They said i have to go down -.50 if i want to order circle lenses.
So i order 1 pair of circle lens that is 6.00 and 5.50 ( they don't have 5.75 and 6.25 )
It come and i try it on and it feel a little dizzy.. ( the same feeling when i got my new glasses )
I think its because i don't use to it...
I don't know if i can continue wearing them or not...
but I don't want to throw them though.

Can i still wear them?

and what happen if i continue wearing them?

Please excuse my English, I'm Still learning.

Circle lenses?!?

I want to purchase some circle lenses I have the prescription 4.5 and I want them cheaper so I think I want to get the brand Geo and I'm thinking about getting the yearly one and wearing it every day do you think that will be safe or should I buy the two week one because I want to try to spend as least money as possible but I don't want my site to be jeopardize

Pinky paradise color circle contact lenses prescription help please?

Well, you have a problem there because they don't make those lenses in the + powers.

You are nearsighted in the right eye and farsighted in the left. They only make them in powers for nearsighted people.

I suppose you could get the right lens with your power and leave the left lens as 0 power.

You don't tell us the cyl power you have, but if it is over - 0.50 then it will change that - 1.25 also to a higher power than that.

You may have too much astigmatism for regular lenses to work at all...but you didn't tell us what you have so it's impossible to advise correctly.

EDIT *****

Whoa, you have way too much astigmatism for non toric lenses to even help.

You won't see well enough with regular lenses to make it worthwile even getting.

Unless you get them in 0 power and wear your glasses over them so you can see.

Prescribed Circle Lenses? Do doctors even have sources to get them?

So i've been doing a lot of research and I'm drawing a blank...
If I was to go to see my eye doctor and he prescribed me contacts...could I request he prescribe me circle lenses?
My vision is 20/20 as far as I can tell so I don't actually have an eye doctor, but can an eye doctor prescribe circle lenses? Let me dial it back and also ask can they prescribe just normal sized colored contacts? Is there a brand like acuvue or air optix that sells colored and circle lenses that are approved for use? I feel like the answer is going to end up being no...but after all the reading on how even the non corrective lenses can jack up your eyes I wanted to know wether or not you could even buy "safe" colored or circle lenses
