I have norton anti virus 2002, fully updated, I disabled it at startup(to save resources for games) I want to keep it installed but I recieve annoying alerts (pop up) form the program that (my security is off) it repeat showing up even if i cancel it, I like to remove this pop up, there is no option to do so like maybe in norton 2005,(only way is to enable norton monitoring) I fixed it before by editing the reigstry but I forgot where I found the information to do so, plz help.

In case you don't know what an SA301B looks like, I'll tell you. In the middle, there's an opening that sticks out. This opening goes to the sensing chamber. The alarm has a test button and a photoelectric sensor, both on opposite sides of the sensing chamber. On the reverse side is the battery compartment. For me, simply turning the unit causes the unit to dismount from the base. Some people have tamper resistance enabled, so they have to undo the tamper resistance, then turn the unit. There are two little things on top of the battery that are preventing me from removing it. It keeps producing false alarms because it's old.
