Classic and Regular handle spell check differently. In Classic it is the first item on the Format bar. In Regular it is the last item on the Format bar. Both have a check mark in the icon. Write the complete email and then click on the icon. In Classic a list will appear with corrections for the first word which is wavy underlined. It will then advance through each word with a wavy underline. In Regular all errors will have a wavy underline. Right click on errors for corrections. I bet you are using all new mail format. Unfortunately this has been a known bug for all-new mail and was declared as an outage by yahoo, to get more info about this outage you can call the AT&T help desk and asked to be transferred to AT&T yahoo escalations, you can get the event number(outage ticket) from the at&t yahoo agent, take note that agents from at&t help desk alone does not have the tool nor updated information for at&t yahoo web mail outages, this is without any given Estimated time of Restoration. I can suggest two things as a work around as we are all waiting for this to be cleared out. First instead of left clicking do a right click on the misspelled word, this will correct your misspelled words based on your browser and not coming from web mail. Second; you can switch to mail classic, spell check for mail classic is 100% working. This known spell check bug only affects all new mail format Above all do not let it get into you. In YAHOO MAIL, when one clicks on spell check a box comes up with the following message: "Misspelled words are now underlined in red. To view a list of suggested corrections for any misspelled word, just right-click it. Don't show this again OK " I ticked the box indicating don't show this again. By ticking this box I thought the message would just not show up everytime I clicked on spell check again, but would still have misspelled words underlined in red, this does not seem to be the case. I have now lost spell check altogether. Can anyone assist with how I can reset spell check in YAHOO MAIL so that I do have misspelled words underlined in red? Thank you YAHOO MAIL USER
