How Do I Solve 3 A-5 =6

Solve: 7a+3)+(-a-5)=-16?

Distributing, we obtain:

7a + 21 - a - 5 = -16

Combine like terms to get..

6a + 16 = -16

Rearrange the terms..

6a + 16 - 16 = -16 - 16
6a = -32
6a/6 = -32/6

So a = -16/3

I hope this helps!

If a=5, b=6, and c=7, solve the rest of the triangle?

Use law of cosines. E.g. 5^2 = 6^2 + 7^2 - 2*6*7*cos(A), so cos(A) = (6^2+7^2-5^2) / (2*6*7) = 5/7 = 0.7142857143, so A = arccos(0.7142857143) = 44.41530859 degrees. Similarly for B and C.

-3/5=d-5/6 and -5/8k=25 please help solve?

-3/5 = d - 5/6 (multiply both sides by 30)
-18 = 30d - 25 (add 25 to both sides)
7 = 30d (divide both sides by 30)
7/30 = d <===ANSWER

(-5/8)k = 25 (multiply both sides by -8/5)
k = -200/5 (reduce)
k = -40 <===ANSWER

What's the correct way to solve these 3/7+6/4+5/2 and 5/3-6/9-5/2?

3/7 + 6/4 + 5/2 …(1)LCM of 7, 4 and 2 = 28. So write (1) as12/28 + 42/28 + 70/28= (12+42+70)/28= 124/28= 31/7= 4 and 3/7 or 4.428571429.5/3 - 6/9 - 5/2 …(2)LCM of 3, 9 and 2 = 18. So write (2) as30/18 - 12/18 - 45/18= (30–12–45)/18= (-27)/18= -3/2 or -1.5

How can I solve the following problem: If a-1/a=5, then a^2-1/a^2=?

First, solve for “a” in the first equation as follows:(a‒ 1)/a = 5a[(a‒ 1)/a] = 5(a)On the left side of the above equation, cancelling out a factor of  “a” in both the numerator and the denominator, we get:(1)[(a‒ 1)]/1 = 5aa‒ 1 = 5a5a = a ‒ 1 since equality is symmetric, i.e., if a = b, then b = a.5a + (‒a) = a ‒ 1 + (‒a)5a + (‒a) = a + (‒1) + (‒a)5a + (‒a) = [a + (‒a)] + (‒1) 4a = 0 + (‒1) (1/4)4a = ‒1(1/4)a = ‒1/4Now, evaluating the rational expression (a²-1)/a²  for a = ‒1/4 as follows:(a² ‒ 1)/a²  = [(‒1/4)² ‒ 1]/(‒1/4)²                     = [(1/16) ‒ (16/16)]/(1/16)                     = [(1/16) + (‒16/16)]/(1/16)                     = (‒15/16)/(1/16)                     = (‒15/16)(16/1)Now, on the right side of the above equation, cancelling out a factor of “16 in both the numerator and the denominator, we get:               = (‒15/1)(1/1)               = (‒15)(1)               = ‒15

What is the solution of 5/3+7/6?

When adding two fractions you must convert both fractions to like terms. This is done by finding the lowest multiple of the denominators, and then multiplying the numerator and denominator such that both of the denominators are the same number.In this case the lowest common denominator between 5/3 and 7/6 is 6, so multiply 5/3 by (2/2) to convert to like terms:5/3 + 7/6 = (2/2)(5/3) + 7/6 = 10/6 + 7/6Now, just add the numerators:10/6 + 7/6 = 17/6

What is the solution of 5/6+2/3?

What is the solution of 5/6+2/3?[math]5\text{/}6+2\text{/}3[/math][math]=\dfrac{5}{6}+\dfrac{2}{3}[/math][math]=\dfrac{5}{6}+\dfrac{2}{2}×\dfrac{2}{3}[/math][math]=\dfrac{5}{6}+\dfrac{4}{6}[/math][math]=\dfrac{5+4}{6}=\dfrac{9}{6}[/math][math]=1\frac{3}{6}=1\frac{1}{2}\text{.}[/math]

If 1/2 of 5 is 3, then what is 1/3 of 10?

As 1÷2 of 5 is 3 , we multiply both sides by 1÷3 , then multiply both sides by 2 twice , such that we get 1÷3 of 10 on left hand side, hence the answer we get is 4.Peace…
