How Does My Song Sound So Far Halfway Finished

Why does windows media player stop making sound half way through a song?

Hi there Arnold. I might have the solution to your problem.
The same problem bugged me for ages and I got sick and tired of WMP, so what I did was transfer all my songs-213- of them onto a USB and then I never had to use WMP again. Then I made 4 more copies onto 4 more USB's and bought myself a $5 hub from my local crazy shop and now I have 5 copies of every single song I've done. Maybe that could help solve your problem too. BTW, don't always trust everything you get from Microsoft. I hope that helped you a bit. Eric.

Is it normal for a penis to make a whistling sound when peeing?

depends on which song it is whistling

What are some tips on making a nice-sounding song on GarageBand? I know most of the basics but I’d like to improve my skills.

One thing I’ve found very useful is to start out thinking of the song as an arrangement. Make sure you know exactly what key and tempo the song is in. Use the arrangement track to lay out all the bars for the intro, choruses, verses, etc. and label each section.Taking the time to lay out the arrangement makes it much easier to always know where you are in the overall song structure, so you hit the section transitions right on the beat, and you can find your place when you are adding tracks, overdubbing or punching something in.If you are like me and don’t know how to play drums, laying out the arrangemwnt helps GarageBand’s robot drummers to lay down a halfway-decent drum track. (The robot drumming is never great no matter what you do.)

Vocal range drops out halfway through?

You may have no interest in the "do-re-mi opera girly stuff", but guess what, that is where you learn the fundamentals of what you do want to do.

Most of the best rock vocalists ever were classically trained.

Edit - it teaches you breath support and intonation mostly.

You can't get vocal tone or power especially in your upper range without proper breath support and control.

Intonation allows you to be on pitch every time, inadvertent pitch scooping screams amateur.

Once you have these two things down pat, that "drop out" properly called the break between full voice and falsetto will reduce and possibly even disappear completely and the falsetto tone will vastly improve.

You can learn the fundamentals singing Don McClain who did american pie but try some of his lower pitch work first such as Vincent but wait on Kansas it is too high for a beginner to really do well especially if you are a bass vocalist.

Also go for some, fulsom prison blues in E maj (if you can get that low) to relax your vocal cords prior to going for the high stuff.

Get yourself a vocal teacher and have him concentrate on these 2 fundamentals with music that you do like.

The rest you will figure out on your own.

Black Eyed Peas' Meet Me Halfway has a familiar 70's (?) sample midway (waoh, waoh, waoh part) from where?

I posted this in another blog. Definitely had to listen to the tunes carefully before I came to my decision:

Everyone has been itching at this and now its been itching me too since I read a YouTube comment on it! The lyrics are very hard to place a finger on cuz they seem to resemble all sorts of other Artists (as claimed by others). But for those who answered Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" in the song is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! This website is an absolute savior...wWw.wHoSaMpLeD.cOm (sorry for the caps & lower case). It didn't seem right at first cus it wasn't adding up. But the 4 part tune in the beginning of the song and all throughout "Meet Me Halfway" matches that of Cyndi Lauper's track. Now (I'm not done), listening to the the chorus/hook melody during Fergie's portion of the song (the "oh oh oh ohhhh...i can't go any further than this. oh oh oh ohhhh....i want you so badly it's my only wish" background melody itself) and towards the ending fade out of the song matches up EXACTLY to the melody that comes up after (not during...AFTER) every chorus portion of "Time After Time." It may be off tune slightly but it's EXACT. Listen to it carefully yourself. That is my only explanation as to why it sounds so sampled off of a rather RETRO song. Believe me when I say that I do my research to get to the bottom of music nearly twice to 3x my age (I'm only 24 years old). I LOVE CLASSICS!!!!

Why does FL Studio sound bad? How can I make it sound better?

When you say it sounds bad, what do you mean? I'm reminded of an old saying here in the UK: "A Bad workman blames his tools".In reality, FL Studio, much like any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is only as good as you make it - I've been a user of FL Studio for around 4 years and I've found that it is one of the easier DAWS to work with - imagine it like a series of lego bricks that you slot together in your playlist to create the song. The bricks are your samples (or synth midi inputs). There may be a number of reasons that it sounds bad - you may have the levels of the tracks wrong - are they correctly assigned to mixer tracks and have you turned the mix down so it peaks at around -5db?Here are some more tips, although hard to pinpoint the problem from such a broad question:Use 'Fruity DB Meter' on the master slot of the mixer - this will show you the level of your mix.Make sure you have everything in the playlist assigned to a mixer slot. Before you export the track you need to make sure you've 'mixed it down', so elements aren't overpowering the rest of the song - the thing I encounter most in demo submissions from new producers are drums that are far too loud for the mix - remember, it's not about volume, its about clarity of the mix!Look at a service called landr (LANDR: Instant Online Audio Mastering Software) for mastering if you don't have experience in this area. Providing your track has been mixed down and peaks at -5db putting it through this software is almost certainly going to make it sound a lot better. Mastering enhances all the elements of the track, and turns it into the commercial product you see released on Beatport/Itunes etc.Hope that helps!
