How Does This Story Sound So Far Lost Of Reading

Which of these stories sounds more... likable?

Now, mind you, these plots and manuscripts all belong to Alyss Younglove and are her own copyrighted material. Alyss Younglove. Being me.

The Unknown Soldier: Layne was lost. He knew his life was over. He couldn't help but remember the reasons he had come here, the pointless anger he had been so determined to act upon. Was the revenge really worth his life? A week before, he would have said yes with no hesitation. But, things were different now, quite obviously. He opened his eyes, praying she wouldn't be in the room. He had to know she was safe. He didn't see her. He was relieved, and he breathed a sigh of pure joy before turning back to what he knew was to be his killer.

Anti-Fire: Ellary Parker had it all- The beauty, the friends, the popularity. The one thing that she didn't have was Damien Rochester. This was the biggest of her problems, that is, until Tayven came to town. Now Ellie is more than confused, but that issue seems so minor compared to her major crisis- someone is trying to kill her. And that someone shouldn't be real.

Shadows: All Alice ever wanted was to write the perfect story. When she finally managed to achieve this feat, she was more than a bit overjoyed. But then things started to happen. And, before Alice could say "Shadow", she was sucked into a world that she never imagined could possibly exist- a world of her own creation.

Snow Blue: Firefly Blue was a hopeless soul. He was trapped forever in the land of Fairie, and he never even dared to dream of leaving. But, when the unthinkable happens- Fairie is attacked by an unforeseen threat- Firefly must retreat to Earth in order to seek help for the beautiful world he had never truly considered his own. It is on this trip to Earth that he meets Snow White, a beautiful girl who appears to be of peasant descent. But, though Snow seems perfect for the job of heroine of Fairie, she has some dark secrets of her own...

How can I not lose focus when reading?

Stop every 3-5 paragraphs and take a minute to summarize in your head (or write it down if you don't have the discipline to do it well in your head) what you just read. This will help you remember what you read and focus on the main ideas.

I'm losing my creative touch in writing?!?

I haven't been in college since mid last year. As time goes by, I can feel myself getting stale with my writing, far as grammar and creativity. I really want up my English grammar along with the creative flow of story telling. I can no longer read books happily like I use to, simply due to not able to see what is happening as I read, my mind races with thoughts and I get distracted. Half of the time I can't truly call myself a writer when simply not showing any dedication. I don't know anymore. Feels like I really don't want to write when a part of me does. I tend to feel myself growing stupid since I'm no longer in college and just don't care. Should I quit writing and focus on reading more books even though I can't visualize what goes on? Would it be better if I did none of these things and move to something completely different? I don't feel the same way I do about reading and writing like in the past, it scares me. Don't know what to do anymore. Any advice?

Wattpad.. Do you all think,my story is boring?

I rather want to be of some assistance, and be as kind and as constructive as I can. I'm more concerned with what seems to be your desire to give up writing, than the actual contents of your story. However, from skimming through your five page story, I came across a line of romantic words between Alex and Matthew, which struck me as odd. Here are my thoughts on what love means.

I like love stories. They can be powerful, able to inspire the reader to appreciate love, in its gentle kindness, its rightness, and its freedom. Love is the the state of both best maturity and most aliveness.
The best love stories are between two people who when together, are at their most generous and their most compassionate selves. With each other, understanding happens, and each partner feels free to be as they are, and thus, they feel free.
Where some love stories go awry is when they depict two people who are actually less free when together, as in being chained, or as in being incomplete, without the presence of the other. It may seem romantic for two who's worlds consist only of the eyes of the other, but it is not really stable state of being. The world is interesting because it is vast, full or variety, and full of many very good people. It is rather natural for one to turn their eyes towards other things, and other fulfilling relationships, which aren't of romantic nature.
What I'm saying is that your character Alex demanded too much from Matthew and it was rather natural for an ordinary boy to want to do other things than be the object of his lover's world. For this reason, your character Alex has some growing up to do, and if all she does in the story is demand another boy take his place, then there is no character arc, and thus, no story.

I believe that you like to write, and my wish is for you to do what brings you enjoyment. It rather pleases me that you posted your story on Wattpad. At least you created something.

Does anyone recall a short story called "Silent Snow, Secret Snow" & know the name of the author? It was requ

ired reading from our literature books in school. The main character gave an account of how she (or he) would hear the crunching footsteps of the mailman in the snow outside. As time went on the sound became lower & lower symbolizing how she/he was losing touch with reality & was retreating to his/her own world. I so enjoyed that story & would love to revisit it. I've yet to find anyone that is familiar with the story much to my dismay. Oh snap! I didn't think of searching on the internet. Still, I'd love to hear if anyone is familiar with the short story & what they thought of it. Otherwise, I encourage everyone to read it. It was excellent & so relatable at the time with teenage angst going on.

Am i wrong to question it? read.?

Me and my boyfriend lost our virginity together. But afterwords he was telling me about his ex. He was talking about how she thinks they had sex, but he only fingered her while he jacked off in the condom, that story sounds so suppisous to me, plus my bf always talked about how she always wanted sex but he didnt cause he was young at the time. What 15 year old would say no?.... idk i just worry he lied. How would a girl think she was having sex if it was only fingers....would she see it???
