How long does it take to boil chicken?
I usually boil them, with seasonings in salted water, for 30-45 minutes. We also usually cook bone-in dark meat. I bring the water to a full boil, then cover and turn the heat down to simmer (where there is a constant stream of small bubbles.) Or, you could try using a slow cooker and simmering longer if you wanted to set it in the morning and come home to the delicious smell of supper! Good luck! Enjoy your chicken. :)

Depends on the amount of water. The heat of the fire won't make the water any hotter than boiling BTW. If they're boiling and are completely covered I'd give em... 15 to 20 minutes? And don't listen to those other people. You can do lots of good things with boiled chicken. For instance, you could add some spices and maple syrup to the water, then lightly grill them after removing them from the pot for a crispy coated and tender bird.

Simmer them until just done, maybe 15 minutes. Check the temperature with a probe thermometer. They should be 140 F on the inside. Make sure that ALL BONES are removed before feeding any poultry to your dog. Those bones can splinter and lodge in animal's throats and choke them. Don't use any seasoning like onion or garlic, You can add a little boiled carrot and/or peas and a pinch of salt. Brown rice is okay too. Make sure he's getting this as a treat unless you're going to supplement with vitamins/minerals.
