Not an easy one to answer!...Its like Respect...it has to be earned, and it has to work both ways..
How long does it take to really get to know someone?
Because I am getting no answers (as usual) in singles and dating... My boyfriend claimed he loved to cook, was an avid camper, hiker and outdoors man that enjoyed kayaking too. Everything I enjoy! Fast forward five months and things seem to be going well and we start spending more time together (was only seeing each once a week or so up until then) and I start to notice...he doesn't cook - it's always takeout and if he cooks it is awful; he doesn't hike; kayak and it doesn't appear the he does much of anything outdoors. Stopped going to the gym too. He spends his time laying on the couch. Not a healthy lifestyle as he had initially alluded to. So, this got me to thinking...how long does it take to really get to know someone? (As an aside...I was with my ex-husband for 23 years, since 14 so I am fairly new to dating and this is the first serious (or I had hoped) relationship I've had since the divorce.)
How long does it take to get over someone?
Im just asking how long some other people have taken to get over someone you really loved but arent with anymore. For me its been 4 months. Some days i feel sane, doing my day to day, and other days she is all i can think about. I wonder and overthink. Its really tearing me apart. It feels as if the split was yesterday. By all logical reasoning we just dont have time for each other and in many ways are wrong for each other. But i cant let go. There we so many positive things and possibilities about us. By all outward appearances im normal and indifferent to those who may see me, but inside i just miss her so damn much. I have seen her and talked to her in passing. Good terms. But part of the craziness is wondering if she has any feeling for me anymore. Has anyone felt this bad before? What did you do?
How long does it take to truly know someone in a relationship?
There isnt a definite number, its completely different for every couple. Some may open up more and therefore u will know them quicker, while some are shy and itll take longer for them to open up. Good luck (: <33
