How Long Will It Take Me To Loose 15 Pounds

How long will it take me to lose 15 pounds?

I've had the same problem except I had lost 35 and was aiming to lose 45. I currently have 5 lbs left to lose so I'm finally halfway through that last 10-15 lbs you're talking about. It is very frustrating when you're doing everything right and still aren't losing any weight. It has to do with your metabolism and body, mainly, rather than your eating habits and exercising. Now that you've put off some series weight, you require less energy overall to keep going, so you will burn less calories than you did before. You should change up your workout plan. Work in more strength now and more cardio. If you want to push through the last 15 you may have to run a lot more than you're used to, but it's good for you :) As for eating habits I'm not sure what you've been dieting on but just keep in mind what you're putting into your body and make sure it's not more than you're burning off in a day. For losing weight I would recommend drinking a lot of green tea and water throughout the day. I heard that apple vinegar was good for belly fat especially, where often the last 10 lbs of stubborn fat sits. Eat a lot lot lot of vegetables, especially now. Fiber is very good for making you feel full and fueled. If you are aiming to lose weight you may want to look up miracle foods that are great for burning fat, like avocados and kale. Make sure all the grain you're eating is whole grain. You may want to cut back even more on fats, dairy, and meat, but don't take my word for it because again I'm not sure what your diet plan is. The last 15 is a ***** and it will take longer than the first 15. Btw YOU ARE DOING GREAT!! wow, 44 lbs. I'm in the same place as you right now with losing weigh, almost there. If you are keeping a balanced, healthy diet with veggies, fruits, and whole grain as well as an intense workout plan that should keep your heart rate elevated for 30-60 minutes, it should take you 2 months if you do it healthily. Good luck!

How long will it take to lose 15 pounds?

Please keep in mind 800-1000 calories a day is my typical intake (typical as in 2+ years. My body doesn't respond well [digestive track issues] to much more than that.) meaning, this is not a diet for me. After I lost my weight the only change would be decreasing exercise to 1000 cals burned 3 times a week.

A healthy weight loss plan will have you losing 1 to 2 pounds per week.

The most important thing you can do is change your diet. Start to replace some of the unhealthy foods with healthier options. Instead of fried chicken, eat baked chicken. Instead of a sugary soda, drink flavored water.

Within three months, you should gradually and healthfully have lost the 15 pounds. Depending on your frame size, that may be a bit too much to lose actually. Our 20 year old daughter is 5'4 1/2" and weighs 126 pounds, and that is perfect for her medium frame size.

It will take 8-15 weeks. Any faster than that is very bad for you and the slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off.

How long would it take me to lose 15 pounds?

"How long would it take me to lose 15 pounds?"

Depending on how active you are it could take seven to fifteen weeks to lose fifteen pounds at a safe and healthy pace. Ten weeks would be about the median range, Also do NOT weight yourself daily weekly or even every two weeks. Otherwise you could become discouraged or upset at not seeing the expected weight loss. Instead once you have weighed yourself, stay off of the weight scales for at least three weeks if not four or five weeks. Now the first few pounds may go quickly. and then slow down to half a pound a week. Do NOT let that discourage you. But also do NOT under eat either. Then once every ten days have a day off and eat a bit more, so as to keep your metabolism operating at the peak level, it can.

How long will it take for me to lose 15 pounds if I eat 500-600 calories per day and have a sedentary lifestyle? I am 5’7, 19 years old, and weigh about 125 pounds with a BMR of 1450. I normally eat 1,000-1,200 calories daily and do not get hungry.

You’re 5′7, 125 and want to lose 15 pounds? At 19, 125 sounds like a healthy weight. I’d suggest increasing your activity level for health, not dieting. Your body needs the nutrients in the food you eat daily - especially at your age - and depriving it is not the answer - you’ll lose weight in muscle mass and end up weaker than when you started. You will probably be miserable and even more sedentary starving yourself on 600 calories per day. If your BMR is 1450, you will lose weight slowly on 1200/day if you are comfortable at that deficit. Take a couple of walks or ride a bicycle a few times a week to burn calories and increase your deficit. In general, it takes an accumulated deficit of about 3300 calories to lose a pound. Doing it too quickly by starving yourself is not healthy, and weight you lose very fast by crash-dieting will come back just as fast when you resume eating normally without additional exercise.Even professional bodybuilders and fitness models know that a severe crash diet to cut weight for a competition or a photo shoot cannot be maintained and only do it when necessary, usually under supervision by a doctor or a nutritionist. They will purposely carry additional weight and body fat percentage most of the time to be comfortable in their everyday life.

How long will it take me to lose 15-20 pounds with running and abdominal excersises?

I’ll stop you right there. Abdominal exercises do literally nothing for losing weight. As in, you’d be better spending that time walking, paying with your dog, grocery shopping. More or less anything.Losing weight is about burning calories stored as fat on the body. Weight lifting and cardio will do this at different rates for different people. However specific fat loss in an area is impossible. You burn 2kg of fat and it’s coming off everything; legs, arms, back, bum, stomach and chest.Exercising the stomach region is honestly the last thing on the list; it’s for increasing your muscle definition there once you have gotten rid of enough fat.If you want to lose weight, the common saying is it’s 80% diet, 20% exercise. Are you actually eating right? How many calories? How many calories from fatty food and junk food? How many calories from drinks (everyone forgets that).A lot of info on the internet claims losses of about 2lb a month are the standard. You’ll lose more in the first few months, and less each month after unless you up the exercise/drop the calories to counteract this effect.Don’t just run, your body will get used to the mechanics of it and you will become more efficient; good for a runner, bad for someone aiming to lose weight. Mix it up; run, swim, lift weights, cycle.A final note; don’t worry about excess muscle from lifting weights. Even as a man with significantly more testosterone building muscle isn’t as easy as you’d think. And lifting weights is an often overlooked and very effective way to lose weight.

How long will it take for me to lose 15 pounds on a 500-700 calories a day diet as an 18-year-old female with a sedentary lifestyle?

Assuming you’re the average female with a 1400 calorie basal metabolic rate, with the 700 calorie figure 75 days, 58 1/3 days with the lower figure. However if you’re also the average dieter there’s also a well over 90 percent chance that you don’t actually end up keeping this weight off, and having lowered your metabolism for an extended period will likely end up gaining the weight back when you return to your original diet and end up as heavier than when you started.A drastic dietary change isn’t sustainable. Slowly bringing down your calorie intake and making that a new normal you feel comfortable sticking with for the rest of your life is probably the better option.Though with a sedentary lifestyle, you’re likely going to be burning off a not insignificant portion of muscle mass. Even five minutes a day with a set of dumbells or one of those medical pedal things for your arms and legs would be better.
