How long does it take for an ear piercing to close up?

It all depends on how long your ears have been pierced. If your ear has been pierced for six months or more, going without an earring for an hour or even several hours should not be any problem. If your ear has been pierced for at least six weeks but less than six months you should still be wearing an earring in it all the time, 24/7. If you have to go without an earring for an hour, wear an earring for as long as you can before you have to take it out. You should not have any problem putting your earring back through your ear after an hour, but you should put it back in your ear as soon as you can.

How long does it take for ear piercings to close up?

When I got my ears pierced they told me not to take them out until 6 months have passed. You should be able to put plasters over them, at the end of the day they can't make you take them out. :s

And it depends on the person, my sisters ears will heal up after two months where as I can leave them out for 1 year and them not heal up. I would suggest buying some really good quality stud earrings and so then you can sleep in them to. I wouldn't sleep in silver earrings as it is not good for you. But the earrings you got where you had your ears pierced shouldn't be changed or taken out for six months. :)

Sorry about the length of my answer. :)

How long does it take for your nose piercing to heal?

It depends by what you mean "close up" and how long you've had the piercing. If a piercing is fairly new, once the jewelry is removed the pressure on the walls of your piercing from your jewelry is gone, so the piercing wil start to squeeze closed. This could make it difficult to reinsert jewelry into the piercing within minutes. If there is an issue with reinserting the jewelry on your own, a reputable body piercer should be able to get it in for you without too much issue if you get to them within a day or two from the time the jewelry was removed. If you wait longer than a few days to visit a piercer to have the jewelry reinserted, then your piercing may have already started healing closed. This is because a new piercing that is less than 6 months old (or even up to a year) is still healing, so when the tissue squeezes down and the sides start touching each other, they will start connecting and healing closed. If a piercing has been there for a while, like a year or so, then you may be able to remove it for brief periods of time. How long really depends on your specific piercing and body.An important thing to note is that removing and reinserting jewelry into a piercing, even if it is healed, can lead to irritation and issues with your piercing. Now, if you were talking about removing your piercing because you don't want it and you want it to heal closed. Then no one can really predict, because different people with different diets and in different climates will heal differently. Just remove it and keep cleaning the inside and outside for a bit to make sure you're removing anything that may accumulate by the piercing and it should eventually close up.

How long does it take for a nose piercing to close?

Well, I have had mine for like 2 years now.... I think some of these people mistake "closed" for simply meaning hard to re-insert. Once the healing process is complete, the skin of on top of your nose will grow inward, so that the hole is no longer open cartilage, but will be skin-sealed. This can make it harder to get the ring back in, since this new skin will be obviously dryer than open (moist) cartilage.

While nose piercings are notoriously slow to heal compared to other piercings just due to them being farther away from more steady blood flow/supply (the closer a piercing is to a vein, artery, or muscle, the faster it will heal), it will take longer than just 1 day (or an hour) to close if it is healed.....you got yours done in April, so you still have another month or two before the healing is completely done, but yes mine was tighter/harder to reinsert within the first 6 months...after that it got easier, as the hole was a bit more open/lose.

Mine has fallin out a couple times while I am sleeping, and getting it back in isn't usually fun since I can't use soap and water to lub the hole up inside first....but at the same time, you just have to be patient with it and it should be fine.

Never be afraid to go back to the shop you got it done in and have them try to reinsert it. They have small tools and antibacterial lubricants that can make it easier, and most shops will do this for free.

Also, I get mine back in by using a pair of tweezers and a small bowl of water and soap. Use the tweezers to hold the nose ring.....wash your hands well, and then gently rub some soapy water over the hole. Then rub a bit on the gauged bar of the ring....then use the tweezers to help guide the ring back into your nose...you will find that it can be easier to "find how the hole wraps" and get through to the other side this way. I have always been able to get it back in within 2-3 minutes this way, where as by hand alone, it can be a clumsy/fumbly matter that can take a good half an hour.

Hope this helps.

How long does it take for a 6 week ear piercing to close up?

It depends on your body and how healthy the piercing is. Very rarely you'll find someone that heals so quickly that in six weeks their piecing is fully healed and won't close. In some people the Jewellery could be out for just a day and the piercing closes up. It really just depends.

Can a nose piercing close? if so about how long does it take?

My nephews nose ring has been out for 5 almost 6 years. Still got the piercing! Ears don't heal after a length of time. I don't think the nose will. either? The eyebrows leave a nice scare. His ring had been in for about 3 years. If you take it out right away you might not get a scare. If it is a nostril pierce. Experiment with a non-pierced earring. Like a little hoop. Or put a jewelry dot on nose with white glue for an idea. (the glue won't wreck your skin, but it won't keep the jewel in place for long either. Just gives you an idea before you get pierced.

How long does it take a septum piercing to close up?

That's strange that it would just flip back down. Septum piercings are usually very easy to hide.
If you've only had it pierced for two days, it's going to close up very quickly if you take the jewelry out. Once it heals (within 3-6 months) you can leave it out for longer before it closes up, but as of right now you shouldn't be taking it out at all. Jewelry needs to stay in the piercing at least until it is fully healed.
