Ok let me actually give you an answer that will help you. In short, yes it will get you high. The "high" makes your body feel like it weighs a ton, and your mouth will be so dry that it feels like you are swallowing sand every time you swallow spit. Also, you may notice a slight buzz. This high is NOT pleasurable, and I'm telling you that from experience. Contrary to most people's belief, ODing on Dramamine has actually kept me from going to sleep when I'm ready. On the other hand, you will have very realistic hallucinations. This is not a good thing, as Dramamine puts your body into a state of "delirium", somewhere between awake and asleep. Basically, you are dreaming while you are awake. DONT do it. You will get high, but the only thing you'll care about is "Geez when is this stuff going to end?!"

if you must take an over the counter...do dxm(robutussin) instead.... dramamine/diphenhydramine are terrible on your body and can make you go insane literally...i know from experience... stay away...i strongly recomend. dxm isn't as bad...a whole bottle or 10+ pills will get you pretty recked and trip a little bit dramamine....if you must..dont take more than 12....(50mg) or 20 (25 mg..) again..i think it's a terrible idea if you do..but if you must..dont go over that amount....

Everything's worth trying once (with the exeption of meth, heroin, or crack). Whenever I do DXM, I just chug 2 bottles of Robitussin Cough (not dm, or cf). This specific type of robitussin contains only Dextromethorphan HBR, where as other types of robitussin contain other harmful ingredients. If anything, buy some mountain dew and pour the 2 bottles into it. Then chug it really fast, because it's going to taste horrible. I usually plug my nose. DXM is a safe alternative to MDMA, MDA/STP (aka: Mali), LSD,and PCP. DXM isn't going to hurt you/damage your organs if taken alone. If you get DXM Polistrex (delsym) then you've wasted your money. Delsym is now time released, because of the abuse percentage. I'm pretty sure that the company got sewed really bad, so they changed the active ingredient. Buy a syrup that contains only DXM HBR, not DXM Polistrex, Acetaminophen, or guaifenesin. Drinking 2 bottles of Robitussin Cough (not extra strength dm, cf) is basically an Extreme Morphine high mixed with some weak Acid, a pill of Thiz, and some really strong alcohol. Your body goes completely numb(literally) , while at the same time you feel like your not in your brain, but you can see everything that's going on with some really good visuals. Time seems slow, but music seems like it's really fast. You think your talking normal, but really no-one can understand what your saying. It really is the defination of a trip. One time I ran for 4 miles strait, because I couldn't feel my legs burning, at all. You loose any sense of pain. At the peak of a strong DXM trip, you could fall on your face, break your nose, and you probably wouldn't feel a thing. That's how strong it is.

that one guy is full of it first of all dramamine is just a brand, the drug your taking is diphenhydramine and yes it will get you high maybe not 4 but it will get you high. im 140lbs and I used to take 20 pills which is 1000 mgs, and I will tell you that sht is crazy don't take as much as that tho id start with 10 but it's not like a party thing, you get really f'ked up you CANNOT walk and you can hardly talk, what you do say will not be related to what is being said to you, you WILL see things that will seem very real, you will be able to dream while still conscious, your entire environment can be hallucinated and you can be talking to your friends on a beach in California and know that its real and wake up a second later sweating in your kitchen in Georgia from taking it i developed very bad sleeping patterns and a EXTREME fear of bugs from bad hallucinations its a fun drug but don't become dependent on it, that's what happened to me, i needed to take 20 just to fall asleep and it was hard to break that if your looking to get high on otc drugs id recommend dxm, try taking 1000 mgs of it, and then you'll understand the meaning of 'otherworldly'

With lower doses you will start to hear whispers around you. With slightly higher doses you will start to hear audible voices where you can make out what they are saying. With even higher doses you will hallucinate people that you know and potentially have entire conversations with them. Even though there is a pathway that certain children/elderly may genetically express with guaifenesin (the mucolytic agent in Robutussin) exposure that may activate the sympathetic nervous system, it doesn't cause euphoria.
