What's the difference between corvettes from 97-04?
I'm looking into buying a corvette and I like the body style from 97-04, but I can't seem to find many differences between the different years. Why would I buy an 04 one if I can get the same power from a 97 one? From what I can tell, they all have the same 5.7 liter LS1 engine, and all have roughly the same horsepower. Only a 10 horsepower increase from 1997-2004? I know the Z06's came out in 2001, and I'm not looking at getting one of those. I don't want to scare anyone away with an emblem, just a regular 6 speed corvette to play around in. I've always had mustangs, and am looking to try a vette out for a change. It will be making some serious horsepower after I've had it a while, but I need to know what is the best one to buy from someone who has owned/driven some.
