How Much Is My Car Worth

How much is my car worth?

I ve looked it up on KellyBluBook, but I think if is worth more than that. I have a 99 Nissan Sentra, GXE automatic, it has about 36k original miles on it, I recently replaced the starter and fixed an exhaust leak (went to a professional to do both), it has a few dents and scratches, let me know what you guys think or if you have anyone that I could ask, let me know! Thanks!

How Much is my car worth if i sell it?

I did the basic KBB look up and you're looking at getting less than $2000. I would say in between $1500-$1700. So have your starting price be $2200 and let people make offers. If you get an offer above $1700 take it asap. But just let $1500 be your lowest price because for KBB that is the price for "Good" condition. Just so you know "Excellent Condition" price for your car is only $1787. And excellent condition for KBB is like showroom new. Absolutely no corrosion no problems, A perfectly clean car. Only 3% of cars fit in that category.

How much is my car worth in a title loan?

Caveat: Do not get a car title loan if at all possible!

Car title loan companies typically loan 25% to 50% of the WHOLESALE value of your car. Of course, wholesale values vary depending on the car and your geographic location. Go to Kelly Blue Book at http://www.kbb.com/ to get the wholesale value.

http://www.AutomobilePawn.com indicates to qualify, you will need a clear car title (you cannot owe money on your car), the car title must be in your name, you will need full coverage insurance, an extra set of keys, they may place a starter interrupt device with a GPS system on your car, in some states you will need to provide a current smog certificate, and they will want your 1st child (just kidding).

How much is my totaled car worth?

As a former auto claim adjuster for 10 years, I need to clarify some wrong info on here.

By LAW, in most states, if the repairs exceed between 70 to 80% of the value of the car in that state, they must total the car.

Insurance companies do not use blue book, since that is used for dealers only. To find out what it "might" be worth, go to NADA or Edmund's, and they will ask where you live, the year/make/model and all options you have on this vehicle to get a "rough" idea of what your car is worth. The 202,000 miles is pretty high and I am guessing that your car is at least 10 years old with that high mileage. Most companies allow 12,000 miles per year as average, so if your car is 10 years old, should only have 120,000 miles and have a big deduction for high miles. I know people are thinking that 12,000 miles per year is low and I agree, but in 4 companies I worked for that was the norm.

Now after they calculate what the value of this car was worth prior to this accident, they will make an offer. Since you are going through your own insurance company, they MUST subtract from that value your $500 deductible. Any settlement check will be made to you and also to the lien holder of your vehicle.

But;;;;;;;if the value of the car is less than $1,500 that you owe to the loan company, then you will be upside down and owe any outstanding balance to your loan company. They NEVER pay off the loan, but the value of what it is worth. If it is worth more than your loan, then they pay off the loan and then issue you a 2nd check to you for the balance over amount of your loan.

2 examples

Car worth $1,000. They issue check for $500 to you and loan company, since they subtract out $500 deductible. You now owe loan company $1,000, balance of loan.

Car worth $2,500. They issue check to you and loan company for $1,500 to pay off the loan. With the remaining $1,000 balance, they issue you a check for $500, which would include your $500 deductible.

Now if in this accident and if the other guy is at fault, then they will go after the other guys insurance company for what they paid plus your deductible.

good luck

How much will my car be worth in X years?

Is there any general calculation or any internet calculators out there that will give me a rough estimate of how much my used car might be worth in say 5 years? I know nothing is ever exact, but I figure there might be a better way than going and seeing what a car 5 years older than mine is worth right now... :) Any tips would be great!

How much is my car worth with a blown engine?

http://www.planetjunkcars.com/ford-2/mustang-78/2001-557/ Those guys will give you $550. You can take the car apart and sell it, not sure how much more that will net you. Also bear in mind that it may take some time to sell all the parts, so even if you do net more money, it will be spread out over a period of time. Try to post it on Craigslist and see if there are any takers who would put their own engine in there, the Mustangs are popular models for people to play around with anyway. Sorry about the engine.
