How much does Kinkos charge to copy in color?

Black and white copies are $0.08 per side so a 300 page B&W copy on standard 28# white bond paper would be $24.00 plus tax. Double sided would be twice that.Color copies are $0.89 per side so 300 pages single sided on #28 white paper would be $267.00 plus tax. Double sided would be $534.00.Personally, I would advise against color copies.

How did people communicate in the pre-internet era?

1. Land line phones. Even when calling to different cities or countries, you had to book a call with the operator, and they would connect you when possible. This could even take upto a day sometimes in India. You were conscious that the operator could always listen in to your conversation also. :D The operator would call, check your reference number, connect your call to the person, and we had to let them know to disconnect. 2. Handwritten letters. I still have the bunch of letters that my now husband and I wrote to each other during our 4 year long distance relationship. 3. Telegrams, were charged by the word, so everyone was very conscious of what to say in the least possible number of words. 4. STD Booths: over the 90s, public manned call booths were set up where you could make direct calls and see the meter ticking as you spoke. 5. Information source was mainly the Yellow Pages, and you would hunt for categories to find suppliers to handle work. Others:Imagine how many phone numbers the average human remembered those days. My best friends - about 10, my boyfriend, my home number, my clients - about 7-8 key contacts at that time, major suppliers - again about 10 let's say, other important numbers. Maybe 50 or so, at a stretch would be remembered by everyone. I remember in Chennai, around 1996, there was a service that would collect all printed articles and give them in a soft format to customers who could subscribe for the relevant industry. Entrepreneurial Wikipedia stuff. We used it for many pitches and general market information. All of us had the now antique phone address book. Never went anywhere without it. All homes maintained it religiously, with addresses and phone numbers of friends and relatives. And yet, we would also remember the same of our close contacts. Sounds so much like an alternative world when I was writing this.
