How Should I Upgrade My Gaming Pc

What should I upgrade for my gaming PC?

There’s no set rules because your upgrade priority would depend on your specs. For a decent gaming pc the tier would be GPU, CPU, RAM, PSU. In most situations GPU is the first priority but, it depends on the use case and your current PC build. If you have a 1080ti with an i3 and want to game at 1080p 240hz then ofc CPU should be upgraded. If you have i7 8700k+2080ti but 450w PSU then PSU should be upgraded. Generally the upgrades will go hand in hand though. Like if you have a mid tier build with a gtx 1060+i5 8400 and 500w PSU but want to upgrade the GPU to a 2080 ti then you’d need to upgrade the PSU along with getting the new gpu because the power consumption is too high.

How can I upgrade my laptop to make it a gaming PC?

If that Laptop is somewhat new (about 2 years or so), then:Upgrade RAM (4 GB min)Add/Upgrade Graphics Processor (512 MB min)If you wish, upgrade HDD too (nothing to do with Gaming).Consider to buy a good wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo. Should be helpful.

I have a Gaming PC my cpu is i5-2310 should i upgrade my GPU OR CPU?

That depends on your issue. If your game takes excessive time to load, and has trouble keeping up with in game activity then upgrade your CPU (Note: Upgrading a CPU can be complicated, and I wouldn't attempt it unless you know what you're doing, or some who's helping you knows what they're doing. There are several very common mistakes while replacing a cpu that can completely fry your new cpu, corrupt your CMOS/BIOS, and all out fry your motherboard.)

If you are having frame rate issues, or want to play a game on higher visual settings then upgrade the graphics card. (Note, you referred to it as a GPU. This is not correct terminology. A GPU stand for Graphics Processing Unit. A graphics card contains a GPU, as well as dedicated GDDR 5 R.A.M. and onboard rendering controlled by drivers.)

Hope that helped.

How do I upgrade an office PC to a gaming PC?

I see the link to the specific ‘office PC’. Oh god… Please tell me you haven’t bought that PC… I mean, if it was given to you, I feel even worse, but still… There would be almost no point in getting it.Ohhhhhkay, let’s see… The 4 GB RAM is too little to even run a few tabs of Google Chrome on Windows 10 (that’s if you don’t want to spend extra to get the maximum of 8 GB), that CPU is ancient, there’s no dedicated graphics card, the hard drive is half the size normally expected in the modern world, and the monitor that comes with it isn’t even 1080p. So what we’re talking here, in order to make it even relatively feasible to run SOMETHING bigger than a DOS game, is a complete overhaul.Yep, you read that right: complete overhaul. By the time you’d finish ‘upgrading’, there’d be almost nothing left of the original. Maybe the case would stay, if it’s not too small, the power supply might be strong enough, and I guess the built-in card reader is pretty nifty, but everything else would be replaced. Yes, that includes the monitor.So really, it’d be more practical to either buy a completely different pre-built rig or just build something yourself from scratch.I’m honestly appalled that something as weak as that is still being sold… And from the looks of things, it’s not even for novelty or legacy stuff! It’s being sold under the expectation of being used! I… I just… Nope, I give up.

How do I uprage gaming pc??

Hey all I recently bought a pre built gaming pc ( sky tech St-arch-II-002 ). I was wondering how do I know if certain parts are compatible to upgrade the pc. Do you have any opinions on what I should replace or add to make it a more efficient pc. I want to upgrade the graphics cards but like I said I don’t know how to tell what is compatible with the other parts. I also want to add more ram. Would it be best for me to save up to start a separate build( that is not prebuilt at all). The reason I ask about the separate build is because I was told it was useless to upgrade a prebuilt pc.

What to upgrade next (going for gaming PC)?

I am slowly trying to build up a gaming PC and of my current hardware in my computer, what should I upgrade next?
My computer is essentially a Dell T3500 with a few new parts (going to list all parts below)
http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precis...

motherboard --> Dell 0XPDFK Here's some good info on it http://www.redplanettrading.com/DELL-XPD...
CPU --> Intel Xeon W3540 http://ark.intel.com/products/39719/Inte...
GPU --> Sapphire HD 7870 OC Edition
RAM --> 6GB
HDD --> WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA II
PSU --> Thermaltake TR2 600W

I'm thinking probably the mobo since this one is designed for Xeon processors and I'll probably want an i5 or i7 processor in the near-ish future. However I have been told that my current processor is as good as any current i5, and for gaming purposes I don't really need to upgrade my processor. Also this mobo doesn't have support for SATA III so... yeah

What do you guys think I should improve on here

What upgrade would be better for smoother gaming?

To make this as short as possible, lets say I want to have good frames, smooth gameplay, and good graphics without stutter or lag, what should I upgrade, my CPU or GPU? Which is more important and how is the other one relevant to the choice. (Example, if the GPU is more important, what would the CPU give me for me upgrading it? Does it give more fps, or what)
