What are Keds? How good is the quality of these shoes?
Keds, like PF Flyers and, to some degree, like Converse AllStars ...are sneakers. True sneakers. They are not running shoes. They are not "cross-fit shoes". They are not anything except simple canvas sneakers.The AllStars stand out somewhat since they were produced as basketball shoes. These are not high quality shoes. All of them, Keds included, are now made in third world countries where quality control can be spotty. Their appeal is their retro vibe ...harking back to a simpler time with simple clean style lines. They are relatively inexpensive when compared to today's specialty sports shoes but they are not cheap; popularity drives the price (upward) on all these makes. Keds were "invented", if you will, back in 1916 (yikes!). They beat the Converse All-Star by a year (which came out in 1917). PF Flyers are relatively young coming to market in the early 1930's. All three of these brands were well established before the Van Doren brothers were even born so ...none of them are a Vans "knock off" ...rather it more the other way around. Is Roadster good for casual shoes?
No, Roadster Shoes are not trustable shoes, the look of shoes is very good but roadster shoes are not durable, i bought a roadster shoes and it started getting damaged after 3 weeks, now after 3 months shoes are damaged and useless, if i have to use these shoes, will have to get these repaired. I have not walked so much in these shoes. The shoes i bought are not costly but who likes to wear shoes after getting repaired in a very short duration of time? I bought it for Rs. 1400/-. Total waste of money. I have shared a picture of the shoes, look how beautiful they are but not durable. So if you are looking to wear these shoes for 2–3 months you can try. Once damaged you will find it difficult to get these exchanged by the seller. So i will not recommend anyone to buy these shoes, you may go for other options but not Roadster because they only look beautiful but actually they are not durable.EDIT 1 : I got these repaired after 3 months as they were damaged, and after repair I used it of 2 more months, but because of repairing its upper materials shape has changed, looks loose and dull, upper material is not of good quality and durable, it's getting cuts. So now it's time for new shoes, they only last for 5 months. This is my experience with Roadster Shoes.
