How To Become Lucid During A Dream

How to induce lucid dreams?

cause i'm itching to create a plot for my story, if i can create an interesting enough lucid dream, i'll use it for my story, drawing, and new personal look at life. and just my own enjoyment of being able to control everything. haha :)

mainly the last one.

How do I become aware that I am dreaming when I am in a dream?

Ever before that, how will you trigger yourself to ask this question (Am I dreaming) while you are dreaming? There are few things you can do, the easiest one (at least for me) is to ask yourself "Am I dreaming?" while you are awake a couple of times day, the more the better. Give it a try, it's not that hard. After sometime it'll become natural for your brain to do a ifDreaming() check every now and then. So then when you go to sleep and if you happen to be dreaming there are high chances that you will end up asking this question to yourself "Am I dreaming?" and Bam!If it's hard for you then the only way to know that you are dreaming without asking yourself that question is, if you happen to stumble upon the next step (notice something not normal) without trying for it.Now the next step is to check if you are actually inside a dream, you need to look for some sort of sign. There are few tests for that, for me the simplest one is to do a 'number-reading' check. While you are inside a dream the part of your brain which is responsible for creating the dream-space can't retain numbers. So when you look at a number say Platform number, Digital Clock, Car number plate etc inside a dream you will perceive it normally but when you look away and look at it again it wouldn't be the same number this time, and you will know beyond doubt that you are dreaming. And then starts the fun! :DEDIT:Also something which I learnt from my personal experience after experimenting a lot many times is 'Staying Awake for a long period of time' helps you in getting into lucid dream state. This falls into category of WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) techniques. What I used to do is, be awake for two days straight (~48 hrs). Basically the aim is to be awake till you reach a state where you just sleep within a min as soon as you go to bed. When you know you are there, just go and crash on your bed. Now when you sleep this way, you will directly reach the REM stage of your sleep or to be precise you will reach the REM stage in a very very short spam of time and chances will be higher that you will be lucid in your dream.

Dreams... How do you have a lucid dream?

I have had a few lucid dreams.

The way it works for me is thinking about lucid dreaming daily.
Then when I'm asleep I become lucid because I notice things happen I was thinking about seconds before it happens.
When you're awake anything can happen, when you're asleep things you think about happen.
So when you notice things are happening right after you think about them, that means you're asleep.

You can also do reality checks, like jumping a few times each day to see if you can jump higher or fly.

I've had a lucid dream last night, I thought this can't be real so I "spawned" a mirror somewhere and I looked into it and I was able to change my appearance.

Most of the times my dreams are lucid for just a short time, its quite hard to control your dream.

Once you notice you're dreaming say to yourself, ok this is a dream stay cool and try to make something appear.
Don't try imagining something really hard, don't try to make something appear right in front of you.
The best way to do it is trying to think about something, like try to think about, behind that wall is a mirror. And when you look behind the wall there will be a mirror.

I haven't had many lucid dreams yet, I started a few months ago.
But if you keep thinking about it daily and do reality checks you will increase your chances.
You can't force yourself to become lucid, it just happens.

Also you can try taking African dream root if you have trouble remembering your dreams.

Lucid dream time possible?

You only dream during REM sleep. Or least that's the time when they're clearest. And the last period of REM sleep toward morning can last half an hour or longer. So assuming you are able to start lucid dreaming right off the bat and not mess it up, I would say about half an hour.

How to lucid dream (control your dreams)?

i JUST looked this up!
-right when you wake up, write down every detail that you remember from your dream! do this every time you wake up until youve mastered lucid dreaming! keep a journal of it!
-throughout the day, randomly ask yourself if youre dreaming even if youre positive youre not! do it often so it becomes second nature. then youll end up asking yourself this in the middle of your dream which is when you realize it!
-as your laying to go to sleep, count like this: 1 am i dreaming? 2 am i dreaming? 3 am i dreaming? etc... pretty soon you'll find yourself in a dream saying 32 am i dreaming?
-highlight any recurring signals in your dream journal that way it will eventually set off a trigger in your unconscious mind while your dreaming!
-during a dream, if your questioning if youre in a dream or not, try looking at a clock, then look at it again. if it shows 2 way different times, youre dreaming! if youre reading in your dream, try recognizing the text, then look away and look again. if youre dreaming, itll say 2 way different things!
-never force it, stay relaxed in the process and it will pay off! when you master this, try writing dream scripts! you can dream exactly what you want when you find yourself in a lucid dream!!
HOPE THIS HELPED!!

Why do I always become lucid in a dream, yet lack control?

So, I've been practicing lucid dreaming for a year or two now. Now that I can remember all of my dreams, I am usually able to identify if the dream is real or not.
But every time I do, it's like... I can't move my body. I am completely aware of the dream and all of its details, yet it's like I have no control of my movement. I can look around and think rationally, yet I can't move AT ALL.

Next thing I know, I fall out of the dream.
It's like... I can feel myself laying in my bed, but I can feel myself in the dream at the same time.
It's like, underneath my lids, the dream is fully there. I can feel my bed and all the details, yet I can go through the dream. I just lack total motor control, except for my eyes.

I know I'm not getting too excited (because after many lucid attempts, I have done so successfully without getting too excited). I've mastered keeping control of my emotions and such, preventing an ejection caused by excitement.

Do you guys have any tips for me to help me move my body in the dream?
Thanks!
