How To Completely Disable Ipv6 In Windows 7 And Will It Affect The Ordinary Internet Operations

How do I fix the "No internet, secured" WiFi problem in Windows 10?

I've seen that with my own Surface Book and Surface Pro 1. The fix for me was a bit simpler…Make sure the device is completely updated and all updates were successful.Click on the offending WiFi connection (in the System Tray) and click “Forget”. Also, if you have an Ethernet cable plugged in unplug that as well.Wait until it completely disconnects from that Access Point. You should have no connection to the Internet at this point.Put the device in Airplane Mode.Reboot the device. If the device is still in Airplane Mode after rebooting take it out of Airplane Mode.Go back to the WiFi connection (in the System Tray) and connect again. DO NOT enable “Connect Automatically”.If it still says “No Internet, Secured” just wait a few minutes — it should clear up. It actually shouldn't take that long. If you prefer you can now enable “Connect Automatically” for that connection. If this fixes it for you then what has happened is simple: The “backed up” connection information has gotten garbled or corrupted and needed to be reset for that device. This used to happen to me all the time with email accounts when I was heavily involved with the Insider Program.I hope this helps!

What is the difference between UEFI and Legacy Mode which we need to choose while installing the OS?

In general, UEFI mode is recommended to install, as it includes more security features (with less complex code) than the legacy BIOS mode.Legacy BIOS mode vs UEFI BIOS modeFunctionality, adaptability, and speed are three major aspects to consider when deciding which system, UEFI or legacy, is the optimal program.1. Option ROM vs. DriversLegacy BIOS is run by option Read Only Memory (ROM’s). The option ROMs that legacy systems run will only work if they are compatible with the hardware that is running with it. If you upgrade your hardware, you have to update the option ROMs to make sure every aspect of the booting process is compatible.UEFI solved this problem byincorporating drivers into their system in place of option ROM.The drivers have virtually no space limitations and are compatible with upgraded forms of hardware.Drivers are written separately and can be uploaded using a flash drive. The information uploaded onto the system is then processed by UEFI’s programming interface, which configures the data to ensure compatibility.2.Boot SpeedUEFI’s customization capabilities affects boot time. This is why UEFI boots faster than Legacy systems.3.Assembler vs. C-LanguageUEFI uses C-language. This form of coding is much more simplistic than assembler, which is the type of language that legacy systems require.Since legacy systems have been around for such a long time, their codes can be long and confusing, which make them harder to work with. Legacy programs do not allow for system updates without hardware updates. This causes many people to create and write numerous lines of new, confusing, and undocumented changes in code that allow users to bypass the compatibility process necessary.(Legacy)C-language on the other hand is much simpler and user friendly. This gives users the ability to write in new code making their program adapt and function how the user wants it to. This means it is easier for users to add and subtract what they desire from the code.(UEFI)that’s why UEFI is better than legacy.

Can the police track down your Ip address?

Yes, for most regular users if the police have co-operation from network providers. All IP addresses have an owner. Owners can be tracked. For most cases, the owner assigns an IP temporarily to you when you use their network. If you have a permanent IP address, game over.Otherwise, when you use their network, behind a firewall or not, you will likely already have had some form of agreement/login with the network provider. Your device also has a unique identifier, known as a MAC address, which the underlying network software uses to map the IP address onto, and most providers will keep a log of what IP address are assigned to what MAC address. In fact for most cases IPv6 addresses use part of the MAC address which can be used to confirm your device’s access of a particular service, assuming the police physically have your device. If you are accessing some service (FB, Twitter, Google, etc), that provider will have your IP address, and the “relevant authorities” can usually trace you down from these records, but they will need the co-operation of the network providers to do so. That is where tracing you down falls rapidly apart. If you have been following the news, providers are usually reluctant to give out that information, and will require a subpoena, so regular police without resources will fall over there. Also, networks cross borders, so you will need co-operation from authorities in that other country, as well as the providers. In the UK, the Investigatory Powers Bill - nicknamed the Snoopers' Charter - became law in 2016 which, et. al. required ISPs to retain records of sites visited by their customers for 1 year. This was fortunately successfully challenged and deemed unlawful in Jan this year as it conflicted right to freedom and privacy laws in the EU , and 2 days ago the UK government were given to 1 November 2018 to fix it.Big Brother? That’s it right there! If you are a little more informed, there are free anonymous proxies, or VPNs, which you can hide behind. These will perform the network operations on your behalf, so the IP address the authorities may have could be shared by several thousand other users at the same time. And then there is the dark web…
