Does a trial version of Microsoft access 2010 opens normally on the ones that have been bought?

If Windows was fully open source, would there be any reason to continue using Linux?
That begs the question that people only use Linux because it is "free". That's not it at all. Linux and open source projects are designed by a community of people for the explicit purpose of building a tool that serves some purpose, whether that is an application, an operating system, or a hardware driver. The end goal of an open source project is to solve a problem or fill a gap. The end goal of a Microsoft project is to make money.The basic purpose of the application, will determine its design. If there is no money to Microsoft in producing an operating system that supports a feature, there is no reason for them to build it in. If an open source community needed to make very large changes to the MS OS that might hinder Microsoft's ability to make money or that even interferes with their own projects designed to make make money, then they would never accept the code or even allow the project. Open sourcing their code might allow a community to take the OS in a completely different way that is opposed to Microsoft's plans to make money, and in doing so, might spin off an operating system that runs PE applications better than their own OS. What makes Linux so great to me is that no one owns it. It is owned by the world (technically the FSF) but it is free to all and free to use to all. The definition of free being "free to use and modify" not as in "free of charge". I use Fluxbox one of the oldest and most basic desktop there is. It works great for me -- I've used it for nearly 15 years. It does everything I want which is very little at all to interfere with the way I work. Other desktops have come along but I never had to change how I work to use them and the features they offered were never enough to get me to change. That would never happen with a product designed to keep me spending money. I have choices for the desktop I use. I have choices of the GUI toolkit I program in. I have choices of the browser I install and can absolutely remove all the others on my system without failure. If I have the skill, I can modify all my applications, even the OS itself, to better suit my needs.Technically Windows is a bad real time OS and making it better would be a very large project that would require some major changes in its architecture. That alone is a technical reason for Linux but that technical reasons are not the reason to use Linux. The reason is choice.
From WINDOWS to LINUX what's your experience?
I use both linux and Windows. I have a Windows XP box that I use for running outlook (employer uses it) and a few other programs that I haven't bothered to try to get to work on linux with wine. I have a Windows 7 box that is for gaming only, nothing else is on it but games. I have some Windows XP virtual machines I use for sql server and toad a few other programs that don't run on linux with wine. Everything else I do with linux. You can simply install Ubuntu and use it and do most of the basic stuff. If you want to use a wider range of programs, especially games, you will need to know/learn the following: How to compile and install different wine versions. I keep mine under /opt/wine/wine-
