Hp Envy Or Surface 2 Rt For College

Microsoft windows surface pro vs macbook pro??

Microsoft has upgraded its surface pro 2 hardware with faster processors. But..
based on your needs (Photoshop) i would suggest a mac

1) 13 inch mac vs 10.6" surface pro 2. When it comes to photo editing the bigger the screen the better.. 13" is still portable.
2) 2560*1600 resolution vs 1920*1080 resolution. For Photo editing (and for reading text and in general) higher the resolution better the experience. Although pixel density is comparable 227 mac vs 208 on the surface pro 2.
u ll love using the new internet explorer optimized for touch, though
though there are a few more advantages of getting the surface pro 2 (don't get the surface pro battery life sucks cos of ivy bridge processor) i would still recommend a MacBook pro for ur profession/ chosen area of work
the touch and type cover have been improved upon so its comfortable for typing.. But the surface pro 2 offers only 2 angles for the kickstand. If u have glare at the second position (said to be best suited for lap use) u have to change ur posture. The macbook pro being a laptop provides more angles and the keyboard is known to be ergonomic.
price:
u may be able to get a surface pro 2 128gb for $1150 with touch cover. And a retina macbook pro for $1300. IMO u wont regret the extra $150.. Future OS upgrades may be free just like mavericks and iworks is also free.. Both will have to be bought if u buy the surface pro 2

What is your experience with Surface Book 2 (for college/work)? How long have you had it?

I had the first Surface - the Surface RT.I used it for notes, doing simple homework between classes and e-textbooks. I bought it for portability.I could not use it for coding, which I needed at least once a week.As its hardware became obsolete, it slowed down, so I eventually stopped using it.Looking back on it, I wish that I purchased a Surface Pro because the software was upgradeable and it could install programs that were not in their app store (unlike the RT).As time has progressed, Microsoft’s new Surfaces have been improving year after year. No matter what, i’d still advise asking the question, “Does it run ‘.exe’s?” If yes, that is the one. If no, look toward another product in the same line.

Full-friction, adjustable kickstand. Improved Surface Pen and Type Cover from the previous iteration. Strong battery life in testing.Cons / Pricey. Type Cover sold separately. Still only one USB port.Verdict / The Surface Pro 4 is the best version of Microsoft's tablet yet, with a stellar display, snappy performance, and more than 10 hours of battery life. Help!!! Ipad mini or Microsoft rt tablet?!?

I want to be able to use Microsoft word because of school. It's mostly for college purposes like notetaking web browsing and essay writing. But my old MacBook probably has not much life left in it so idk if its time to get a new MacBook or wait for apple to come out with something innovating or just get something cool like the ienovo yoga ultrabook. I have never owned a pc though but apples pricing is kind of steep. I also bought my old mqcbook used but have some money to put down if the new windows 8 is really the bees knees because the total comes out within my budget if I were to get a new MacBook it'd probs have to be used.
