No. Most likely you will have to wait it out. Walmart has a high turnover rate though, due to their high number of associates, and the number of them who are in school. That means that they always need to hire more associates. A supercenter will hire at a rate of nearrly 10 new associates a week (having sometimes nearly 400 associates for the large stores). Just be sure you keep updating your application at the in store kiosk.

Kmart online application odyssey..?
to apply at kmart you have to take an online 75 question survey kind of thing. after that ive heard if you answered correctly you get an interview. but if you dont answer correctly you dont get an interview. when i say answer correctly i mean like if it says you think someone is stealing someting what would you do??? those kind of questions... but just wondering about the whole interview thing. thanks in advance
I was scheduled for an orientation. Does that mean I got the job?
I applied for a job at Mcdonald's two days ago and yesterday I got a call asking if I can come in for an interview. I went to my interview today and then like an hour or so after the interview I got a call from the hiring manager telling me my orientation is at 3 tomorrow and they'll schedule me for next week. Does that mean I got the job or what? Do I have to pass the orientation first then I have the job or they're training me now so I can start next week? It's my first job so I'm kind of clueless, lol.

If they don't call you by closing time tonight, I would say assume the worst. But it definitely doesn't hurt to call again Monday. Even if they don't hire you now, and you call Monday, it shows that you are truly interested in the position. I assume they hold all applications for at least six months, and if a position opens within that time, you may be held in higher regard than those non-hires that didn't call after the fact.
What does HR status: assessing mean?
It means they're looking at your application, and deciding if they want to call you in for an interview or not. It'll say different things like: - Sent - Received - Assessing - Interviewing - Hired - No Longer Being Considered

Okay i worked at k-mart before as far as your appearance goes my spelling is not great i apoligize but it should be caki pants never shorts to an interview and a whit collar or polo shirt they will ask you any experience all u need to bring is social security card and your id card if you have one and didnt turn it in with your application take a resume if not no problem no need for preperation they just want to see that you can stay calm under pressure so try not to show any nervousness no need for preperation it's a very easy job but for loss prevention there is a lot of dealing with people if you cant handle a lot of people in a day this is not the job for you otherwise that should be all the info you need hope it helped GOOD LUCK!!
What to say during a job interview?
You should expect to be asked what your strengths and weaknesses are, why you want to work there, and what you would do in tough situations. For example, they might say something like "What would you do if you didn't have all of your work done at the end of the day?" (The answer is talk you supervisor about it. Communication is key). Or, they might say, "How would you handle a rude customer?" (The answer is be polite and if it got out of hand I would find the manager.) or "How do you handle stress?" (The answer is stay calm and focus.) And when they ask "Why do you want to work here?" they aren't asking why you need a job so "I want the money" wouldn't be relevant. Just say something about how you think the job is a perfect match for you because you are good with people and yada yada. For toys r us you could also add that you like children. Basically, be honest but not too honest! If they ask what your weaknesses are, don't say that you have trouble getting up early, that you hate people, or anythig like that! Try to turn it into a positive. For example, when I was being interviewed the other day I said that I was a little bit shy, but I don't let that hold me back and I think that this job would help me to break out of my shell. But you have to give an answer that applies to you, obviously. Smile a lot, give a nice firm handshake, be positive and confident, and thank the interviewer(s) at the beggining and end for meeting with you.
