Waitress forged my signature on a receipt and added a tip when we left cash tip?

I am a waitress/bartender and it is unacceptable to put a tip in if a guest does not fill in the gratuity line! Did you speak with the manager? If it is a family owned restaurant I would talk to the owner. If it is a corporate owned restaurant I would call corporate, let them know what happened, give them her name, date you were in, and if you still have your c.c. receipt, the number on that. She needs to be fired!
If she did it to you she is more than likely doing it to others who leave a cash tip, put a line through the gratuity, or leave it blank.
$6.00 is still $6.00! You wrote "cash" in the tip line and whoever does the books should have noticed she changed it. I would be in a world of hurt if I did that to a guest!
I don't know if this is considered forgery but I would call the police department and your credit card company and ask. Also let your credit card company know what happened. They have the option of raising their credit card fees on any company at will. The gift card was a nice gesture.....I also think the waitress needs to apologize to you in person. This really fires me up, can you tell? Hope you can go a bit further.

Is it good / bad practice to insert signature while replying in 3rd or 4th email in conversation?

It is vital always to include at least you contact phone numbers on each and every reply. Why, because at some point the recipient might want to call you. Phone being quicker and easier to resolve an on-going email discussion. If they can not quickly see your number, then hey ho they will revert to email. However, try to avoid including all they annoying strap-lines and logos on such replies. Just your phone number. This helps reduce email overload.

Is it the norm to put your degrees in your email signature?

I agree with Faisal Khan.  As tempting as it may be to share your collegiate achievements via your email signature, in reality you run the risk of seeming a bit too eager.  I interact with very high level (certifiably brilliant) men and women every day in the San Francisco tech community and I never see anyones degree in their signature. My advice, when in Rome—do as the Romans do.  Leave the degree off your email signature, anyone who really wants to learn about your journey will take their curiosity to LinkedIn.Cheers,-bw

How can I make sure my deliveries from Amazon require a signature?

Signature Required shipping is really at the shippers discretion. It’s an additional cost for them to choose a service where a signature is required, regardless of carrier that’s used. Generally the shipper has established business rules for when they do and don’t decide to select Signature Required services, assuming it’s not government mandated items like wine and tobacco, to which it’s still the shippers responsibility to select the correct service. You could:Contact the shipper before, or immediately proceeding, checkout to ask them to select a signature required optionHave your packages delivered to a commercial (business) address - Note: a delivery confirmation, not a signature, is mandated by UPS, and FedEx will only get the signature of whomever is receiving all the packages being delivered to that address. USPS doesn’t require a signature unless requested by the shipper.Sign up for an online account with each carrier (e.g. UPS MyChoice). This will allow you to:Have packages held a local facility. This doesn’t cost your or the shipper any additional money. A government ID is required to pick up the packageHave the package redirected to another address for an additional cost. This won’t necesarily resolve the signature required issue, but can at least give you flexibility of having I delivered to where you are should it not be the address you originally listed at checkout.Have packages shipped directly to a UPS Access Point if offered at checkout, or have it rerouted to an UPS Access Point. Having it shipped directly to an Access Point is less expensive for the shipper than shipping directly to a Residential address, and automatically calls for a signature and ID to pick up the package at no additional cost. Having it rerouted to a local Access Point costs no additional money (other than what was already paid by the shipper).Provide delivery instructions (e.g. deliver to side of house). Again, it won’t allow you to select a delivery confirmation/signature required, but it can help with instructing the driver to place the package in a more descreate location.Provide delivery notifications via email and/or text so you know as soon as a package is delivered (no additional cost with UPS MyChoice)While I provided many UPS solutions, FedEx and USPS do have some of these solutions as well.Hopefully this helps you better manage your deliveries.

Signatures: Why do people sign emails with their name?

Interesting question. I can give you at least three points why you should add your name at the end:1. Quite often when you make cold outreach, recipients skip the name that shows up in the inbox. They scan the list of emails that have bombarded them at night. Quickly run through the subject lines and senders. If they don't know you, they just don't care if you're Max, Nataly or Casandra. Let's assume that your subject line has worked good and the recipient got interested in your email. I can bet that before hitting reply, they'd love to know more about you. It's the moment when you should make life easier :)2. If your email is forwarded, there is a chance to be lost in all these backs and forwards. When your email reaches the right person or has been discussed, and responsible person is ready to reply, they could not be able to find to whom they should respond as your email's been buried somewhere in the collapsed messages. In this case, having the email signature with your name and primary contact details is a must.3. It's etiquette. Just as simple as that. If you want to reach someone, the rule #1 be polite :)So drop your name in the email signature and don't forget to provide a bit more details to show how you correlate with your addresses. You can link your social profiles or add company website to increase trust. There are several ways to create cool signatures. Here are listed some of them. Anyway, there are lots of tools you can use to create a professional signature by yourself. You can try Newoldstamp.

How do I attach a business card to yahoo email?

It sounds like you are asking how you can either attach a scan of your business card to a single Yahoo! Mail you are sending, OR you are asking how can you make the image of your business card your signature.

If neither of these describes what you are asking, please provide more information on exactly what you are trying.

If you are wanting to know how to attach the image to a single outgoing email, then know that first you have to scan your business card into a digital format. You would need a scanner to do this, though places such as Kinko's can do this for you. Once you have a digital copy, or file, of your business card, you can attach it using the "Attach files" option in email. Use these instructions:

Yahoo! Mail: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

Yahoo! Mail Classic: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

However, if you are talking about adding a digital image to your signature file, then know the following:

At this time, it is not possible to add an image to your web signature. If you would like to send a picture with an email, you can send the image as an attachment instead.

Can someone refinance a car co-register to you without your signature?

I live in California, USA. My ex-wife had horrible credit and I co-sign for her. The original loan was given by the bank I do business with, so I was able to see online that she was making payments. She was until the car was paid in full. She said she didn t have money to do the transfer (It is only $15 US) so I gave them to her and told her she needed to put it in her name ASAP.

Well, a year pass and I was no longer with her sister and I received in the mail a letter from CA DMV stating that "my car" registration was delincuent. I checked with DMV, and it shows still under both our names, and to make matters worst there was a lien on the car by another financial institution.

I have been trying to reach them with no luck and I m ready to take them to small claims. Can the car be re-financed without my signature and my name remaining in title!

Why has Google not implemented HTML signatures in Android Gmail?

The reason is that the Android Gmail app does not render HTML when composing. It can read it just fine and there are ways to get your signature into an email, you just need to know how.But why would they do this when so many people have been asking for it over the years? Not making excuses and I have yet to find a straight answer to that question, but I can tell you that it usually boils down to security. In other words, it is damn near impossible for someone to send malicious code in a plain text email. It’ll have to be added as some form of attachment. But on to answer your question… The easiest way is to create the desired signature(s) in Gmail and share them via Google Drive with your devices from a unique folder, such as “Signatures.” Once you got this setup, then it is simply a matter of adding the URL of your Google Drive Signatures folder to your Android phone Gmail App via the setup menu. Here’s how to your company logo or signature image, step-by-step:Host your image on Google DriveLog in to your Google Drive accountCreate a folder, name it Signature or something like thatSelect the folder and click on the Sharing button; set the folder visibility to Public and the access to anyone can viewOpen your folder and upload your image, or add an existing one to the folder. The image will take on the Public visibility.Copy the folder’s ID from the address bar, and build up the URL to include the folder ID and the image name.Set up your signatureOpen Gmail, click on the cog icon thingy and choose SettingsPaste in the image URL you built above and your company logo should appear in the box next to Web address URL, click OKYou should now see your logo in your signatureScroll down to the bottom and save your settingsSend yourself or a coworker an email to test it has worked!

What happens when someone forges your name on a tax return?

First, the IRS.

For 941, there are two parts. One, the non-trust fund part, the tax the business owes, you don't care about. It can only be collected from the business. Two, the trust fund part, the employee withholding and employee portion of social security taxes, can be held to be your responsibility and put on your personal taxes (trust fund recovery penalty). That you care about. If they are thinking of assessing it (they will ask you for an interview, they will send you a few letters, etc.) you need to explain that that is not your signature. You have a good chance of not having the tax/penalty assessed. If it is a small amount, the IRS probably won't pursue it. On the other hand, if your ex continues to not pay the 941 taxes, the IRS will try to shut the business down, depending on how much money is involved.

Second, the forgery. Yes, it is a crime, but the IRS is not going to pursue it, it isn't a tax matter and they are busy people. Perhaps some local police might pursue it, but I doubt it, as there is no money involved. If you pursue it, you would need to show damages. It might be an expensive education with nothing to show at the end.
