I Have Orinatation Tomorrow But I Can

Do you get paid during orientation at McDonald's?

Yes they have a meeting where they give you your uniform and discuss Mc Donald’s history, most popular food items , and give you fries to taste. I enjoyed working there the first month, but it is too much of a grind. You need to work hard and fast and it helps to be in good shape. They give you free food and drink but don’t fall into the trap of eating McD’s everyday. You will regret it.

McDonalds Orientation tomorrow, but no working papers ?

Tomorrow i have my orientation and in my interview the manager told me i'll need copies of my ss card, id, birth certificate and working papers and said im basically hired. But when i came home i couldnt find it so i guessed i lost it or left it in my school locker. Will me not having my working papers effect their decision? i know i can get a new one from school since i already have the papers filled, but is it necessary for the orientation? It is vacation and I dont go back to school until monday.

Wal-Mart orientation tomorrow. I have a problem?

Well, I've been looking for a job for a few weeks after quitting Gamestop and got hired at Wal Mart. I have orientation tomorrow which is good. My only problem is that I have to be out of town in 2 week for 5 days. I've had this planned for months now. This isn't a vacation either and I pretty much have to go. I would also like to keep this job. How do I go about asking for this and is this against store policy to give such short notice?

What is the orientation process at McDonald's like?

I went for a job interview at McDonald’s. What I can tell anybody that reads this: every McDonald’s is different and some are even privately owned. For my McDonald’s orientation, I went to the McDonald’s at 10:00am, which by the way, was a different McDonalds from the one I would be working at. Everyone in the room would be working at a different McDonald’s as me. They traveled thirty minutes just to get to this specific McDonald’s. Anyways, I went in and we all sat at the tables in the back of the restaurant until a manager called us into the back, where the office is located. We had to pass through the kitchen where all the workers were running around, preparing food. We went into this small office where you could barely fit 10 chairs and we all sat there facing each other. We were handed a folder filled with a few booklets. One of the booklets we went through with the manager; it was about cleanliness, what to wear, what not to wear, rules and guidelines to follow while working there if you want to keep your job. Then the manager just talked for an hour about what to expect, what work is expected, etc. After that, we signed papers. By the way, dress decent and bring your social security card. After signing the papers, we watched a three hour video (it was also filled with a series of questions we had to answer together as a team). We did that and then that was it. The video was over and done with and we left through the kitchen. We were told to take the papers we signed a bring them back to the store we would be working at and the general manager of our store would tell us what’s next. Also…the manager actually checked to make sure we were wearing the right shoes. My advice to you wear sneakers or flats or else you could be sent home. She was literally going to send home anybody with sandles. We didn’t learn about anything in the kitchen. We weren’t introduced to anything in the kitchen. That’s how my orientation went. Hope this gives you an idea.

What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?

Question: What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?Actually, the only person that can really answer this would be your recruiter. Ask to find out what expected dress code is for orientation. In many of my jobs, had I shown up in a suit to orientation I would have been way over dressed. Business casual was actually a bit too formal as well. The corporate culture will determine the expected attire as well the global location.Finance, banking, and consulting are typically semi formal or business attire here in the US. East Coast US vs. West Coast US will also mean that the dress code definition will be different. EC business casual is VERY different than what you would find in LA or San Francisco.   So, to sum up: ask your recruiter or new manager what the expected attire will be for orientation. This is a completely appropriate question and is likely well received.

JOB ORIENTATION and SS Card?

They're going to need the SS card (along with a photo ID) within a certain number of days of your hire date to verify that you are legal to work in the U.S. It might not be the end of the world if you don't bring it to orientation, but you'll probably need something soon. They need the forms of identification to fill out your I-9 form.

They might not have said this, but if you have a passport, that should work, too. Or an official copy of your birth certificate along with a photo ID (driver's license or school ID or state issued ID). Usually, employers just ask for the SS card because it's the most accessible form of ID for most people.

And your mom is right. You shouldn't ever carry your SS card around in your wallet on a daily basis.

I don't have my picture ID to bring to orientation?

My picture ID hasn't come in the mail yet and I have a grocery store orientation tomorrow, and he asked me to bring it. Will it be acceptable to bring the paper copy that the dmv gave me? This will be my first job and I want to be prepared but I'm afraid that he won't accept my paper copy..?

What exactly do you do at a job orientation?

Probably be showing you some videos and filling out paperwork.

Also you might meet some of the other employees and get shown where you work and what you are going to be doing.

What happens in orientation at UPES?

They will show you a PPT Presentation about UPES which contains:How much strenuous efforts they have done to build this beautiful campus. (Efforts- Increasing fees every year, Increasing fees of backlog papers, Atleast 1500–2000 backlogs every semester etc etc)Some important steps taken by UPES in past 3–4 years for the betterment of future of their students(that you will never get to witness in reality). They will show you their big laboratories and some very important instruments for performing different experiments and they will tell you that You are so lucky to get UPES as its only UPES to have these kind of laboratories and instruments. (But they will not tell you that half of them are still under process to get authorized and half of them are idle). They will show you videos of their college fests which you will later realize that those videos were nothing but cropped from Tomorrow-land trailer videos. They will tell you that celebrity like FARHAN AKHTAR, HRITHIK ROSHAN, ARIJIT SINGH, SONU NIGAM etc etc will be coming to the fest this year but in reality you will witness bands like Astitva, Stuti etc.In short, there is no point in attending orientation. If you are free and you have nothing to do then you can go and attend orientation in their so called “Fully AC Auditorium”.ENJOY!!!
