I Just Got My Nails Done

I just got my nails done and they hurt?

I just got them done for the first time (my stepmom took me). I got tips put on them.
My stepmom has been going to this place, but I'm not sure if it's a really good place since I haven't been to get my nails done before.

I looked up why they hurt and now I'm scared because I read that they shouldn't hurt and if they do it's usually because the tech is not skilled.

My stepmom said they were really good at their job. But she was really rough on my nails. She like dug into my cuticles with her nail file and use some of tool to rough up my nail.

I didn't get acrylic tips, I got what they called "gel" tips because my stepmom said they were better. She used this stuff to glue them on and it feels like cement. Like the nail won't even budge, it's like it's melted into my original nail.

They're really sore and hurt. I'm scared because I read something about MMA nails or something and apparently they glue so tightly to your nail that if you try to take them off it will take off your whole nail and it permanently damages it.

I'm also worried because she filed my nails so much and thinned them. I had really nice nails before and now I'm worried that they're going to be brittle.

Please help, I'm so worried.

I can't ask my stepmom not to take me there because she knows and "trusts" those people and if I say anything it would make her mad.

I just got my nails done & they hurt. What can I do?

I got my nails done for the first time ever yesterday. My nails do kinda hurt. I have my prom tonight and I don't wanna feel uncomfortable. What would make the pain go away?

Grammar Q: I just got my nails Done OR I just got my nails did ?

I just had my hair DONE.

I just had my nails DONE.

The sentence is past tense, the action- in this case you're nails/hair has already been done.

DID would be in the Present tense.

I got my nails done for prom. How do I take them off?

Look at the video and then : If they are gel you need to remove them with acetone wrapped up cotton balls soaked with acetone on each fingernail wrapped with aluminum foil. Leave the aluminum foil with the cotton balls on each nail for 15–20 minutes then using cuticle stick, scrap off the polish. As explained in this video:How to Remove Gel Nail Polish at Home Without Fucking Up Your NailsFor acrylic nails you need to follow these directions or go to a professional to remove them. How to Remove Acrylic Nails at Home EasilyHope that helps, :)

I got my nails done, but what if i want to get them off?

Soak in ACETONE nail polish remover. You'll have to rub away the excess that starts to dissolve (with a cotton pad or paper towel, followed by med-fine grit file or buffer lightly) then re-soak. It can take up to an hour or so give or take. But try not to file them to nothing cause you could go too far and not realize it until you've done more damage. Use a cuticle oil or baby oil to help protect your skin. It's very drying.

I just had my nails done and they are too long, how do i shorten them?

I got my nails done today and the man that done them didnt speak hardly any english. I was asking him if i could have them shorter nd he didnt understand, so i have come out with big nails that look so tacky. The thing is they ache so much i even find it hard doing the simplist things i usually do. I was wondering whether i could use nail clippers or an emery board to cut them down a bit, i have even considered taking them off. I am starting work in a couple of days and will be having to do typing work and day to day jobs, yet im struggling typing this let alone doing full long documents, please help me :(

Can you go swimming after you just got your nails done?!?

the paint wont wash off, but it will probably chip right off
